Best form of his life off beating Ngannou, Helenious and Wallin, Helenious wasn't the best performance, Wallin wasn't a threat and Ngannou has 1 Pro fight against a clearly out of shape and possibly over the hill fury. AJ does seem to be back but still needs a real test to really know how he's going to deal with an apponent who comes to win. Dubois might not be that test. Parker or Zhang would be a better measuring stick to see where AJ is really at.

Great interview. Respectful but direct. Dubois is going to be emotionally charged and under immense pressure to impress his boss. AJ needs to turn up the pressure early, try to land something big early on to make Duboise panick, and then step back and capitalize on Duboise's mistakes.

That first Ruiz fight with AJ was a pivotal moment in his career. That was THE fight where AJ realised he could no longer allow himself to believe his own hype. AJ's mental state has now been to never underestimate his opponent and to treat EVERY fight luke it's the most important fight of his career. This mindset was further cemented when he fought Usyk and even though he lost twice, his secind fight with Usyk was a great showing of AJ's boxing development. AJ is definitely knocking Dubois out but you can tell AJ is approaching his preparation for the fight as if his Ahab wants to take out Shamu.

Where's that Dillian Whyte guy that was always beefing AJ? AJ is still in the spotlight accomplishing things and Whyte is unheard of. Dillian's jealousy of AJ was too malignant. I heard they were buddies at some point. I like the person AJ has become. Dubois is a tough fighter, nobody should underestimate him. I hope AJ wins in September. 😊
