D Elias you understand what a mandatory is right? You understand Wilders team waited almost 2 months, essentially forcing AJ to have to take the mandatory or lose belt right? You understand all the talk of AJ "pull out" was after weeks of waiting, being told contract would be signed on x date three times. Then being told 50/50 or nothing? In your own words, facts are facts. Wilder ran, he's done it his whole career. AJ has 4 belts in half of Wilders fights, Wilder has NEVER tried for more belts. Who is ducking who here?

I am just saying that ali would beat aj, although athletes get better with time but it doesn`t seem like that always, ali beat 6.7 foot ernie terrell easily, even liston had a 84 reach and 15.5 inch fist but it was not a problem for ali
@alcottdevalte74406 жыл бұрын
I think a 1964-67 ali would fight aj, fury and wilder like he fought sonny liston, cleveland williams and ernie terrell. 1985-88 tyson would fight them like he fought jose ribalta, tony tucker and mitch green/tyrell biggs. Not sure about the ko`s yet due to wilder, fury and aj not been ko`d yet but they have been dropped... These fights would most likely end in a decision or a tko...
@alcottdevalte74406 жыл бұрын
Kindred Warrior; I agree. A 24 year old ali (206-215 pounds) and a 20 year old tyson (213-222 pounds) would be awesome in 2018. Ali would fight them the way he fought sonny liston, zara folley and cleveland williams. He would dance on his toes clockwise, while he bobbed and weaved, and moved to the sides. He never threw body punches except for the cleveland williams fight. And that was mostly to confuse him, he threw the left hand to the stomach in round 1 which actually was to make him react before he threw the same left to the face. He played with his opponents. Ali would dance around in the ring and throw fast jabs and hooks. And ali would try to tire them out by bending their necks in clinches and holding their arms to the sides while he leans his weight over them. Angelo dundee would advise ali to push them in the clinches and throw uppercuts while taunting them with the jab. But ali would do what he would like to do. And he would keep his hands down except for when he stands still or is caught in the corner or against the ropes. Tyson would fight them like he fought tony tucker, jose ribalta and larry holmes. Tyson would always move forward and try to cut the ring. Every time they throw jabs and hooks tyson would move his head and slip the punches while throwing combination punches. And tyson would try to set them up with his jab while cutting the ring so that he can throw his right hook to the body and right uppercut to the jaw combination punch. He would work a lot on their body and even bend his knees to be shorter for his own advantage. Basically, tyson would move his head and throw combination punches in a fast pace/pressure as he has learned cus`d matos peekaboo style to the least detail. Cus d`mato and kevin rooney would advise tyson to go to the body much more and throw uppercuts/jabs every time they get to close to hold him, and also to move his head and then throw and overhand right/left every time they jab him.

2018: Anthony Joshua Finds Conan's Weak Point. 2019: Andy Ruiz Jr Finds Anthony Joshua's Weak Point. (Also beats him up until he doesn't even remember where he is)

People are vying for Joshua V Wilder, but they're forgetting that Joshua only turned pro in 2013, he needs/wants more fights in between. Plus, who has Wilder really fought with a reputation. Ortiz maybe, but that's it. Either way, it is a fight that will take place at some stage.

Crazy to think how small the Heavyweights of the past are in comparison to today's beasts. Just goes to show how much boxing has evolved over the years.
@royalzak26706 жыл бұрын
Lets be honest, Tyson would destroy the current heavy weight line up with ease. A lot of 80s-90s heavy weights would tbh the quality lately is pretty sub par.

After the death of D'amato and dumping kevin rooney, Tyson went from good boxer to haymaker reliant.
@barabarbara6 жыл бұрын
So true. Also, Tyson never actually won against any real contenders, except an older Larry Holmes, during his boxing years. That being said, I love Mike Tyson, and think he would've won against both Buster Douglas and Holyfield (whom he was actually supposed to fight next had he won against Douglas) with ease, if it weren't for dropping Kevin Rooney and his mental state at the time.

Royal Zak Tyson is the most overrated boxer EVER.
@barabarbara6 жыл бұрын
Completely disagree. Sure, he had his problems later but from '85 to '89 he was the most exciting fighter we've ever seen. You don't become the youngest heavyweight champion of the world by being overrated.
@Delboy06 жыл бұрын
Are you saying that just because that was an era when American boxers were better? While I admit the boxers of the past were tougher, AJ is an athletic freak and there was just wasn't boxers as big, as fast and powerful back in Tyson's era. Lennox Lewis schooled Tyson just by being taller than him, AJ is faster, bigger and has more punching power than Lewis.

190 lbs sounds about right. I’m 6’3’’ and I’m about 185 lbs and I’m in really great shape. Conan probably has less muscle than I do and he’s 1 inch taller so it comes about right
