I have kept seeing new name bowlers I have never heard before bowled on TV in the past year or 2 but this guy also never heard before who is a lefty like Jess Stayrook finally broke that long curse. Good luck to everyone else to try & do it on TV again which my prediction is that it would probably not happen again in the next 30 years like this one already broken.

Saw this on tv yesterday. He didn't win the game but he made a little bit of history. Being the 4th professional bowler in history to pick it up the 7-10 split on live tv. I'd say it was the highlight of the game. I thought for sure, he was going to have an open frame. Boy was I surprised! Even though he lost, he still had a big moment! Congrats, Neuer, you should be very proud of yourself!

@guitarzan53283 жыл бұрын
@abbsnn cose Yep. But look at the other 3: Mark Roth hits the 10 hard and straight, the ball sandwiches the 10 into the back wall and makes it ping around and karate-chop the 7, from the pit. John Mazza hits the 7 hard and straight, again sandwiches the 7 into the wall and makes it do a crazy tomahawk bounce across the edge of the lane into the 10. The 7 didn't even _touch_ the pit. Jess Stayrook hits the 7 medium-hard with little hook on the ball, this time the pin bounces off the left wall and pit onto the edge of the lane and casually rolls into the 10. You know the rest. Goes to show you, there's no real strategy to converting the 7-10. Just throw hard at one of the pins and hope.

I only wish that he had been able to have a live audience in that bowling alley to help him enjoy the moment all the more. I have been told that Anthony's 7-10 was an even bigger feat than the other three because the type of the pinsetter used in Anthony's lane is totally different from that used with the other three. It apparently has something to do with the back wall separation, but I forget what the technical details are about it.

There was a comment somewhere on here (At least I think there was) saying how much harder it was on this particular lane, but I can't find it :-/ Found it: @PinoyBowlerGS92 2 years ago Anthony Neuer is that not only he converts the 7-10 first time in 30 Years but also he’s the first PBA Pro that converts it on a Brunswick GSX Pinsetter on TV, the GSX is the hardest pinsetter to get any pins flying out of the pit because the pit curtain and pit cushion were separated from each other. The last 3 Pros that converted the 7-10 before on tv were all on easy pinsetters (Roth & Stayrook on Brunswick A2 and Mazza on AMF 82-70) since the pit curtain and pit cushion were connected.
