He's not given the recognition he deserves as an actor. As brilliant as he was in "Psycho" (1960) it typecast him for the rest of his career, but he could do comedy and drama and was a talented singer as well. His sons, Oz and Elvis are very talented artists in their own right. Anthony Perkins is one of my favorites and will always be. Thank you.

Glad you enjoyed the video. Norman Bates was an iconic role for Perkins, he was so effective it overshadowed everything else he did. I watched the sequel Psycho II, a week ago.

I have seen 11 Anthony Perkins movies. I have also seen The Last of Sheila for which he co-wrote the screenplay. My favourite film is Murder on the Orient Express. Besides the essential Psycho, I also enjoyed The Trial, On the Beach, and Tall Story. Of the films I have *not* seen, I am most looking forward to The tin Star starring Henry Fonda.

Hi Flora, I'm a big Hitchcock fan as you know, and so are you, Psycho is one of my top favorite movies. I think I wrote an article about the film at Hubpages, let me check... yep I did, and hubs on some of his other masterpieces too, aaah memories.... I watched The Tin Star again last year, I think it was on TCM, good film. Tall Story looks like fun, featuring young Jane Fonda, I'll keep an eye out for that one. I guess it is assumed that we all know the titles to all of these movies, despite some of us visiting this because we wanted to find which Perkins movies to start watching first. Uh...titles of the movies might be useful.

I will be sharing this link with a person that really likes Mr. Perkins. He helped get my Perkins page off to a good start....hopefully he will do the same with your video. #21 Winter Kills is a pretty interesting movie....with Perkins in a very good role. #13WUSA....not a good movie. #11 Pretty Poison....cult classic. #9 Catch-22...what a cast. #8 On The Beach...depressing but good. #2 The Trail...want to see this one. #1 Norman.....Norman.....Norman....no surprise here. Good video. Voted up.

Thanks again Bruce. Perkins was a leading man in some of these films but as Bob was saying at your website, his career was overshadowed by Norman Bates. It was an iconic role. Did you know Perkins was a huge Elvis Presley fan? He named his son, Elvis Perkins.

Had seen psycho around week or so ago since then I really wish I seen all his films... Athony Perkins. He has done many movies I think I will see all one by one... Psycho, psycho 4 , psycho 3 , Phaedra..
