Time is so strange. I remember being a kid and not really understanding why pros seemed to like AVE. Back then it was plain to see that Jamie Thomas and Andrew Reynolds, for example, were doing way more. But then decades pass by, and a lot of big pros just sort of disappeared and stopped putting out much footage: Arto, Rowley, Koston, Dill and so many others. Yet, AVE is still going. Not only that, but skating styles and trends changed too, and suddenly everything AVE was every doing seems like the coolest shit. It’s more timeless. Going really fast and sliding longer for example. Keeping it burly without getting into the stair counting contest of the late 90s/early 2000s.

I'm guessing you weren't seeing his 411vm parts. Absolutely crushing it, regular montage clips too. I love his Photosynthesis part, but it didn't really outdo any existing footy. His DC part is insanely good. I think SOTY that year if not for Danny

I was fearing another crappy Ozzy-ish butt-rock 80's/early-90's song which seems to be the trend these days but this Highwaymen tune was actually quite pleasant and paired well with this edit. AVE is indeed a powerhouse and a favorite of mine for quite some time and I found myself exclaiming loudly in shock and surprise at how ripping these tricks were, many of which I had not seen. Good stuff. Makes me want to skate. I did NOT like the instrumental music at the end.
