In this Video me and my dad went to Kansas city Ks co part. we went in and checked in and they told us to wait for our car. The brought it with a forklift!! That just blows my mind, they don't have a batter way to move them then a big front end loader. Mine ran and drove wehn i looked at it, After they broke the spring and blew out the tire it no longer drove good but the drove it out of the lot and then to us out front with a flat tire, and ruined it. Oh wheel. After that i talk about all the fee's at co-part and what 125 dollars looks like from co-part and what it tuns into.

Now you know. It's almost like a bunch of crooked tow truck companies banded together and said we can sell these cars almost retail to chumps but first lets use our standard "business practices" to milk a little more money out of the deal.

Lol you bought a 19yo Ford, sight unseen, with 140k miles and you’re complaining about the condition.... They move them around with big ass skid steers and forklifts. Instead of whining online you should suck it up and treat this as a learning experience. Get ready for more lemons if you want to flip cars dude.

You can't expect a lot for $125. You could easily sell it as a work beater for $500. As for some cars having "No Forks" on them, it's not necessarily for nicer cars, it's for rear wheel drive cars, because you can puncture the transmission oil pan and bend the driveshaft.
@deadingraves
@deadingraves 5 жыл бұрын
I bought a Cadillac from them for a bid of $150.00 and paid almost $350.00 for it. The listing said it had "hail damage" and it "runs and drives", but when I picked it up it had a bent engine cradle/sub frame and a broken brake line. To top it off they removed the battery and would not replace it. After that I was stupid enough to try to bid on a Sebring convertible a few years later, but they screwed up my paper work making me miss out on a car with almost no damage that sold for less than $400.00. Yes their fees would have at least doubled the price, but I was willing to pay them for this car. I will never deal with Copart again, instead if I buy another insurance car again I'll go through a reputable insurance pool auction. Signing up for the one year membership that allows you to buy as many cars as you want is only about $50.00 more than I paid for fees on one car at Copart. Don't buy from Copart!

the bid you place on the car goes to the insurance company that the car was with, the other fees are for paying the people that manage the auction, clean the car out at the copart, running the loader just in case anybody is still salty about the extra fees
@deadingraves
@deadingraves 5 жыл бұрын
I have never seen a car that was cleaned out at Copart, except for batteries and maybe some valuables if there were any in it to begin with. The people who used to own the car are the ones who clean the car not Copart.
@Heyalth
@Heyalth 5 жыл бұрын
@@deadingraves We have people who come in to remove their personals maybe 3-5 times a week and our yard receives around 120 cars every day, so it's not the owners cleaning the cars out. State Farm has higher standards and pays Copart more so their cars get everything inside bagged and put in the trunk and vacuumed if the car is less than 10 years old or has broken glass, every other insurance company just has the stuff put either out of sight in the pictures or in the trunk. Copart has 'yard agents' that do this stuff. If you look in the notes on the auction it will tell you if the car has a battery or not, and if it doesn't say "missing battery" but it is then somebody stole it and put it in the car they planned on winning when they were walking around the sale rows inspecting the stuff about to go to auction.

I wouldn't blame copart for that. My cousin has a POS taurus just like that and she hit a pothole and broke the spring and popped a tire. If the forklift caused it to break theres no way in hell it would have lasted much longer on the road. At the end of the day you bought a $125 car. That looks damn like a $125 car to me. You also being a registered member have the ability to do a pre-purchase inspection. Its even recommended that you go look at a vehicle in person before purchase. I do agree Copart has been known for some shady stuff but at the end of the day you got exactly what you paid for.

Copart absolutely has its issues but, unless you are a careless moron and allow yourself to be bent over a barrel, it is a good resource for buying. Also...NEVER bid on a Copart vehicle without either going to see it in person first or hiring an inspector to do it for you and ALWAYS check fees before buying. Simple stuff...those who don't do these basic things deserve to get screwed over by being ignorant.

Rob Weeks, I’m not blaming anyone man. Honestly. I’m blaming them for the ruined tire and fact that the fees are more then the car. I don’t have my dealers license yet. I have went through most the stuff just waiting for the first of the year. The only thing I was complaining about was the fact they listed the car as it ran, and drove and posted pictures of it, all new tires. Then when I got there it had a broken spring and a flat tire. They won’t let you. Go in and pick it up yourself they bring it to you on a fork lift. If this was a 15k dollar pickup or car they still use forks to bring it to you. That’s my complaint
