the unequalized audio sounded better IMO with the mic, the "equalized" audio sounded tinny, made the leaves crunching sound like you were walking on ice.

The eq'd version is maybe too hot on the high end. The leaves crunching was borderline unpleasant but like you said it was just a quick eq and not bad at all for a 25 dollar mic.

I'm really curious if that adapter will work on a GoPro. You know GoPro makes you use their $50 adapter and DJI forces you to use DJI's adapter. I'm just curious if whatever is in them that allows them to work, is it the same in both?? Could be a great video topic....

What about the saramonic smartmic with a USB C connector? Designed for use on Androids, but would allow you to skip the DJI 3.5mm adapter.
@anerandros225 жыл бұрын
Ok, what about osmo pocket’s mic adapter? Not only DJI charges you a premium for what is a cheap piece of plastic and makes it impossible to use a third party equivalent adapter but, at least outside of the USA this item is impossible to find. I even managed to buy it from a local reseller, I am in the UK, to be told the day before delivery (a good three weeks after I ordered it) that it was out of stock and would not be back in stock for another month at least. Furthermore, two-three days later, I received a stock reminder by DJI (as I had registered with their service before finding out that a UK reseller had one in stock) that the item was back in stock. Nevertheless, when I tried to buy it from their store (I received the reminder at 11.30pm and I saw the email only two hours later when I tried to buy it from their online store) I could not buy it and customer service told me that it was out of stock and tried to convince me to buy it from an American resellers for close to double its price (plus possible import tax by UK customs).

Nice video. Rode videomicro. That one needs the hotshoe mount, which is why I have the pgytech osmo holder. Holds the cell phone, osmo and mic. I figured why not go all the way right? They call this the osmo pocket, they just didn't say how many or how big your pockets would need to be to make it all work right? I mean it could be a big hoodie pocket right? By the time you have the mic, nd filter, adapters, mini tripod (which could be part of your holder setup) you've got some down right BIG pockets! Oh, and let's not forget, if your phone isn't and Iphone or is has a micro usb, or a thick case, well, ...you get the picture. Little tip for those who want to gooooo allll the way...you can find older phones on ebay that are usb c that will work with the osmo pocket. That's my .05 worth, cause all the rest of the stuff cost a lot more.

As always man, good video. You deserve many many more likes and subs bro. Keep it up! Try PGYtech’s data port to cold shoe adapter to mount the rode mic or a led lamp, etc to the Osmo Pocket. The adapter carries all the weight so it won’t strain the Osmo Pocket. Try it out and hopefully you can make a video of it. I might order the saramonic mic just to keep the small size factor.

Make the perfect in-studio setup for KZbin/ video. Including lighting, mic +adaptor, tripod, and phone- osmo pocket holder. If you’re going to put the Osmo on a tripod I would go with the new Rode wireless go. I just put out a review on it today. Since it’s close range it should help with acoustic noise. Either that or the Rode videomic Pro Plus. Just mount it in the tripod with a small boom arm or something

I love your review! I just got the adapter, and need a different mic, as I use a Shure MV88 for recording off of my non-stereo iPhone X, which makes iPhone video sound great (according to the musicians I video). I've also used the Røde Mic, I really need it to be adjustable in post, and also recording in Stereo. Thank you for the suggestion of a mic, but since it's not stereo, sadly, I probably won't get it. I noticed a huge difference in how you sounded, so I'm happy that I got the adapter, and I'll try and find something that is comparable to the Shure MV88 condenser mic.
