I didn’t know Apple photos was that feature full. Maybe you could do a video on iPhone raw in Lightroom. To show the power and also idiosyncratic things now and then with an apple raw. Like presets that can blow it all out. Also sharpening apple raw has its own unique methodology.

Really amazing I’ve been using it on my iPhone and thought that the desktop was the same but this desktop has many more features. Please do more. Someone below suggested brushes and touchup.I would really like to get a handle on those things

Yes, please do more videos on Apple Photos. This is my main editing program on my iMac. I would especially appreciate a more advanced video on Apple Photos that gets into the use of Curves, Levels, and Selective color. For example can Selective color be used on more than one color in the same image? Also, what is the difference between the Brilliance and Brightness sliders under the Light section?

This is a really good idea. One area on which I would appreciate a tutorial is managing storage. I’m reluctant to pay for more iCloud which is now full when I have tons of space on my desktop. How do I transfer photos already in the iCloud and in future get my iPhone photos to go to the desktop rather than the cloud?

Very interesting and I'd certainly enjoy more of your videos on editing with Apple Photos. Especially using an iPhone and / or iPad as that's usually what I have with me if I am taking iPhone photos. Might also use Snapseed. Once I get them to a laptop or desktop, I'll be using Lightroom or ON1 or Luminar. Thanks for all that you do for the community.

It might be interesting to see how editing in Apple Photos can be productive. I use Apple Photos on my iPhone to make quick adjustments. I usually don’t edit very much on my iPhone after I click “auto.” I use Lr mobile only on my ipad for editing photos.

Great idea to add tutorials in Proraw - Apple Photos . Normally I only use this editor when traveling light and without my laptop. I'll use an iPhone or iPad and I would like to see you provide examples of editing on either platform in addition to a computer. You are extremely helpful and it was your tutorials on Topaz apps that resulted in me purchasing a package from them--very happy.

Thanks for this video but it is oriented to the desktop version. Yes on more videos editing Proraw using Apple Photos especially on the iPhone which seems more difficult too use especially without sections like color or light etc

I haven't used Apple Photos for years. In my case it was because once set up for iCloud, every shot was distributed to ALL your devices. I got tired of deleting simply mistaken shots from iPhones, Macs, iPods, etc.. If this is better controlled now, I might be tempted to come back to Photos as it is quite nice to have shots distributed you do WANT to be so!

I love your videos Anthony! Am I correct in saying that most photographers out there use Adobe programs? Adobe of course knows this and they are charging more and more for the privilege of using their software. For years I used Aperture and was very happy with the results. However Apple decided in their infinite wisdom to discontinue the Aperture. I'm looking forward to see more Apple Photo videos to determine if I can incorporate it in my post processing and eliminate the Photoshop.

As always, you have produced an excellent video Anthony. When YT starts awarding Nobel Prizes in education, you are my nomination. My general opinion on this topic is less stellar. Notwithstanding the ubiquitousness of cell phone cameras, trying to produce photos from one of these small sensors seems near folly when competing against APSC's and larger. RAW iPhone pix vs full frame jpeg's still loose. Sorry to rain on the parade.

Very good initiative. I think photo’s on MacOs should be covered in parallel with iOS/iPadOS as these have complementary tools such as perspective’ correction.

It seems like there aren't any more advanced adjustments available for RAW files with Apple Photos. I feel like there's a lot more potential, but Adobe Camera Raw is just so much more robust. Any way I can import RAW files to Apple Photos and preserve the edits from Adobe Camera Raw? I find that it only imports the RAW file but loses all my edit data (GRRRRR!).

Ok, I'm having a HUGE problem with Photos opening my RAW photos and no one seems to know why I seem to have this issue. But when I load RAW pictures into Photos, it opens a VERY pixelated image that apparently is the thumbnail. I'm importing the FULL images but I don't know why it's only opening the thumbnail. And it doesn't' do it in every case either. In some cases where I CAN see the full RAW image, as soon as I try to do an edit, it converts back to the thumbnail. So... I don't know how everyone else seems to open these in Photos with no problems. :(

I am a long time user of Apple Photos . You have only very lightly scratched the surface of the capabilities Whilst yes your tutorial style would result in good education I think that to cover the rest of the capabilities would significantly impact on your time available for your existing catalogue of software tutorials . It is only the iPhone 12pro and Pro Max that natively use Apple Raw however there are several other cameras apps for lower iPhones as that can capture raw data Personally I think that for you to include Apple Photos in your portfolio would be great but it will adversely impact on your time and coverage of what you already do
