@@christyjohn5149 It depends on how you look at it. I prefer to think of it as melodies or phrases, that can be used as fills. Licks are often just one dimensional.

Very cool! When you say alternate pick, it looks like you are doing some rakes with the right rather than strict 1212. Were you focusing on just articulating each note with a pick then, rather than h/p or slides etc? It does pop out well especially with that tone you had live. Also on the last note, would you consider in hindsight sticking a chromatic Db on that last 16th where you say you run out of notes but there's still room in the bar, or even down to Bb and back up to C, if you had the chance, or would you stick with the Eb D - C that you played?
