Most players think so, but I've been playing bass for almost 56 years, and my bass of choice, is an Ibanez MIKRO. The only things I changed, were the pickups, and changed the chrome hardware, to black. The new pickups is a set of the DiMarzio DP126's. My bass rig is a GK MB500 amp, and a Hartke HD112. I removed the hybrid aluminum speaker, and installed a Faital 500 watt 12". The rig is awesome!!

Beautifully done. I have heard very few who could even dare let alone honor Jaco in process.

I come to you for bass lessons and I was also learning this on saxophone. I decided to look up some alternate versions to get it in my ears and I never expected to find you here.

Hello Anthony. Late to the party but the idea of writing the fretboard out is 100% useful. Ive only been playing since last October, i did have a bass in my youth (80s) but nothing come of it., but one of the first things i did on my return was draw out the fretboard and notes. I also grabbed a bunch of ziplock bags , overlayed them on the notes and marked out the scales, Arpeggios, triads etc. So at a moments notice i could practice whatever I fancied by just overlaying the ziplock bag. It works a treat. What i like about your shows - You! and your ability to communicate complex theories to a begginer like me. Now, what would I consider an improvement. I think just slowing down a bit, mebbe at the cost of some content but that could be a quick "short" video mebbe. Great channel and a great tutor. Thank you for taking the time to share your remarkable knowledge of a beautiful instrument. Peace ❤ Ps: I know this is an old show now but felt id like to contribute to your shows end comments.

Like your way of teaching but just one suggestion start playing those frases slow at the beginning and then start building up till it reaches the faster tempo.

Thanks! Can you explain what chords are being used?
The phrasing were off and the song was rushed, not to mention the mess ups. There's a reason why Jaco spent 12 years on this song. Watch Modern electric bass Jaco Pastorius. You will get the parts you messed up on and learn the techniques.

hey anthony.. in regards to your comment about it's waste a time trying to think the minor scale a separate entity.. can't you argue when you're thinking of improv over a minor song, it's helpful to keep in my that the minor i is the tonic? .. unless you do it differently?
