Would ylu say your walkkng bass "formula" for 4-beat chords is to play three notes of the chord and then a transition not into thebnext chord which is either a chromatic approach or the 5th of the coming chord? Then for 2-chord per bar measures it is something like chord 1(root/chord tone) to the root of chord two, and then a chromatic approach? It also seems to me that the I-VI can often be played as just a I7 entirely?

Your last soloing, is over the harmony of the begining? Thank you for your great work and lessons!

yes it is, with slight substitutions but for the most part it's the standard changes used these days

You are the real deal man!! As for the rootless walking lines for these changes, as opposed to blues changes...It takes a real trained ear to "feel" the changes especially if its a piano less or or harmony less setting.. I had to pay close attention while you were doing that in the video and you were correct, but again, to me walking like this on these changes calls for a little more root motion...Soloing is a whole different story...it all depends on the setting and the other harmony instruments & soloists

Great tone on the Squire bass. What strings and what amp do you use? Sorry to be a nerd :-) Just curios.
