Pomp, you might want include Jason Lowery's thesis regarding the immense potential importance of BTC technology in hardening all infrastructure and especially sensitive communication and control systems for national security because of how proof of work works when your guests ask what are the tangible uses for BTC other than financial adoption. It's importance is very often overlooked during discussions like this.

It saddens me that people who say Bitcoin has no value are the ignorant ones who don't understand what money is. Money transfers value and stores it. That is literally a natural law principle of what makes something money. It's also an accounting system. To say it has no utility other than speculation because you can't put it into some physical form just screams "I have no clue what I'm talking about but I'll continue talking as if I do." Where dollars are not scarce and are created from nothing, that is what is the most speculative. Take the dollar glasses off and change your perspective. The BTC price in $ is up because there is no scarcity in the dollar. It is NOT money. It is a currency created out of thin air with zero scarcity. That's why scarce assets move up continuously priced in a currency with no supply cap. Money is just a form of our energy stored into something whether physical or digital.
