Okinawans are well know for their musicality. Cocona from XG, for example, has her family’s roots in Okinawa. If you look up their history, you'll understand the music video senaries better. FYI, We pronounce “A” like Asia. Awich stands for her Japanese name 亜希子 that can break up into 亜 Asia, 希 wish, 子 child.

I would like more people overseas to know that Ozworld uses Okinawa's unique dialect and that the first song, "Reigo no hana ga hana ga kaze wo kowaru arashi kuru the boom," is a sampling of a typical Okinawan island song.

OZworld is young spiritual rapper from okinawa. he often singing by okinawan/ryukyuan language. in this song he use okinawan folk song style. He was born with a disability in legs, so he carries a cane. i recommending watch his song "NINOKUNI" and "shonganee". Chico Carlito is legend of japanese rap battle history. he start rapping 19 and only 3 years later he become champion of one of biggerst championship in japan. he is quarter of puerto rican, and his grandfather was US military. he took his stage name by grandfather's nickname.

It's a little different from Japanese cities. The U.S. military is also friends with the people of Okinawa. Okinawa is an island with unique roots in Japan. Originally, Okinawa itself was an independent country, but was occupied by Japan during the Samurai period and has remained so to this day. Okinawa was also occupied by the US for a while after WW2 and still has many US military bases. This song is by "Okinawans" who are proud of "Okinawa" which does not belong to anywhere.
