Pewdiepie said you were “wrong” because you stated the idea that Marzia was interested in Felix as his fan, on the premise that he was a well know personality when they first started talking. At the time, Felix was selling hotdogs and barely had 1,000 subscribers. He was not interacting with a fan. The way you talked about their conversation made Felix seem like a creep who flirted with fans because he knew he was famous. If someone watched your video without knowing Felix, it would’ve slathered his name and the viewer would’ve had the wrong idea about him. This is why Felix said you were “wrong”, you spent so much time basing your lesson on something incorrect. He never said your lesson was incorrect, in fact he agreed with you. I also want to add that Felix wasn’t triggered about everyone not liking him. I hope this cleared some stuff up :)

When he said that your point was wrong: The thing he said is that Marzia and him did NOT share many interests at all to begin with, they built shared interests throughout the relationship. Marzia influenced Felix with her passion for creepy-cute things and style, and Felix influenced Marzia with the videogaming and other things. That's what he said was wrong, because you said that he made videos about his interests and those interests attracted Marzia because she shared them, she didn't, she just thought he was funny and cute. Also the subs thing and the fame thing obviously. *edit: also the whole "pretending to be offended" is just for fun! Don't worry about it!

I guess just to add to the conversation, Pewdiepie started off playing games and still does now from time to time but for the most part, he's a youtube personality. He makes videos which expresses who he is in order to entertain his fans. Another thing to remember is the culture around pewdiepie which is an online culture built on memes, gaming, trends, millions of other cultures and micro-cultures etc, and it's something which exist today that never existed in the past which is why it might be difficult to understsand for an older generation person who does not participate in it. The internet today works as like one big inside joke which I guess you can call memes. Pewdiepie stands at the top the youtube realm and is quite well known and influential as you can see from the pewdiepie vs t-series event which demonstrates his potential to influence over the youtube market. Other realms within online culture can include gaming cultures, reddit, tiktok, other social medias i.e twitter, instagram and they all kind of bleed into each other fundamentally in significant ways but also hold their own space respectively. My key point to this discussion is that from the point of view of the past, yes pewdiepie might seem like a nerd and unattractive to cool people, but what has changed today is pewdiepie IS the cool people. Being cool today means being confident in yourself and being able to express yourself and hold your ground. The reason this works is because the internet is all about ADUDIENCE. This is something people are beginning to learn and whether people are able to do it themselves are not, they are DRAWN to likeminded individuals who are able to freely express their individuality. This is also why I think what Anthony teaches is so important. That idea of being yourself and expressing yourself is so important in it's own right but is even more important now more then ever in regards to forming connections. The way we do things is different but who we are as people has stayed the same for millions of years and will continue to stay the same for millions more. felix does agree with what you say it's just the context of their relationship that was off. you said that he had 1mil subs when he actually had 1k (and was most likely a broke drop-out selling hot dogs on the street at the time) and you said that they bonded over similar interests when in reality there wasn't initially much to bond over. basically the knowledge and advice you went over was great but it didn't totally match up with the context of how they met. @Jonoxes Though people may not have the same hobbies and interests, all of those are at the end of the day are a learned behavior and can change. So once you love someone, your hobbies and interests may change with the person you are with. Anthony was trying to say that, to have a good relationship, you must share common interests and characteristics at the start of the relationship, which is simply not true at all. That's was where pewdiepie and I disagreed with Anthony. Pewdiepie and Marzia had nothing in common but the fact that they liked each other. And as you yourself said, they grew to have common interests and hobbies. Not because they had the same interests before, but grew out of their old interests to accommendate the new interest of their partners. That's what love does to people, it changes you and your perspective of the world. Anthony was giving the advice of "date people in your circle to avoid unnecessary conflicts" and pewdiepie was saying "Date whoever you want but make sure that that person is someone who you believe will be your true love"

As someone who has watched Felix for almost all of his KZbin career thus far, I think that when he says you're wrong, he's talking specifically about him and Marzia's relationship, not about your points. He has always been adamant about the fact that when they started talking, they didn't know they had much in common. However, they were drawn to each other and in their relationship they found the things they shared in common, and shared their interests with one another. He agrees that your advice is great advice, but I think he's just saying that he wasn't really doing that, and that their relationship started without that, and the fact that they liked so many things together was a "happenstance." He also was probably just a little displeased with the thought that someone thinks Marzia was a fan-girl of this big, popular KZbinr, when he wasn't that famous yet. He attributes a lot of fame and success to her, and I believe that to him, thinking she was a fan-girl takes that away from her; which, as all extreme "19-year-olds/brofist army members" know, is something he feels strongly about, as Marzia truly is the love of his life and is someone that is always there for him, and that he will protect at all costs. All in all, I watched your video before Felix reacted to it, and I liked it. I thought it was nice that you recognized the difference in the relationship between Marzia and Felix versus Mike and Lana, as they are VERY different, and Marzia and Felix are usually considered the golden or royal couple of KZbin. Mike and Lana's relationship is similar to Marzia and Felix's in the sense that their personalities go together. However, I think people, meaning those that are part of the brofist army, are a lot more sensitive to Marzia and Felix's relationship, as almost all of us don't know or can't remember PewDiePie without CutiePie. Also, last thing, I think Felix 100% isn't mad at you or angry. As you said, he roasts a lot of people a lot harder, and usually he does it out of fun and games. He doesn't in any way consider himself to be perfect, and the only people he ever really has trouble with are the people that are *cough cough the Pauls cough cough* actively benefiting from acting crazy, dare I say stupid, and he feels aren't making "real content." Again, this is all from my perspective, but I've watched him for like a decade now, and I'd hate to see you, Anthony, feel like you're being attacked or anything like that. Personally, I think you're really brave to make a video about Marzia and Felix, as it could've backfired and people could've started doxxing (hoping that this hasn't happened). Again, I loved your video, and I totally get your "leaning over your fat" situation lol.

I've been watching Pewds for a long time now and trust me. Pewdiepie was not really offended by what you said. I think he was just disappointed that you were not informed about the history of their relationship and you made a message based on that misinformation. There were two main things that you got wrong and thats why he said that. 1) He didnt like you hinting at him being famous and dating his subscribers like some asshole. 2) his personality. Pewdiepie is a internet persona and not his true personality. He is entertaining people. He doesnt act like he does infront of the camera in real life 24/7. And it actually caused him a great deal of stress of pretending to be happy all the time. One of my favorites videos he’s done is called “forced positivity on youtube” you should check it out.

More often than not, the only reason a relationship like that would be formed would be because the person is famous and the other person admires them in some way making it easier for the famous person to coerce and take advantage of them due to their social status. It creates a power imbalance that just shouldn't be tolerated.

It seems there is a problem with your pov, in every relationship there is some form of imbalance someone had the other first or one has more money than the other, one is a man the other is a woman. For example, an age difference between a 20 year old and a 16 year old is an imbalance that is too grand in terms of context. I say context as a 4 year difference isn't a big deal between a 34 year old and a 38 year old.

I really wanted to see your reaction of his video and here it is. I invested some time on looking at both perspectives and the way things came out for him as you were expressing yourself in the first video. His reaction got to a point in which he wasn't pleased to hear what you were saying about Marzia, not about your point of connecting with other people, but I believe it was more about how you pictured the way their relationship started. Lots of PewDiePie fans got triggered and reacted the way they did because you didn't "do your research" when talking about the biggest youtuber. For most of them you had to at least know something about the background of their relationship because they truly respect Marzia and Felix. So basically you were defending a point (which I personally think is totally fine and completely agree) based on, let's say, a poor representation of their relationship from your perspective. That didn't do justice to what that couple means to the followers, and that seemed disrespectful as well. I agree with them to a certain extent, but I also think that you're under your total right to provide your reaction from a more spontaneous approach without having to know everything about who the people you're reacting to are. Felix started off by basically selling hot dogs and dropping out from college to devote himself to the world of KZbin, he wasn't that popular at the beginning (as natural) and he barely had one thousand subscribers when Marzia approached him. This means that she wasn't interested in his fame nor his money. She actually mentioned once that she just felt attracted to Felix and she thought he was "cute", that's why she was the pursuer in the relationship. It was genuine attraction to the person 'Felix' what really had Marzia do what she did. For them it's been a journey that they both enjoyed and they went for it when there wasn't fame involved. They both have become really successful in what they do by doing it together and that is what their followers respect, so your representation of their life wasn't something they liked due to said reasons. I really hope you see this because I want to put things in perspective for you due to the fact that it was difficult for you to understand why he didn't agree with you on your overall vision of their relationship. I think it's always important to emphasize the point of meeting like-minded people over people who share interests. I've been to meetups or met friends of friends where we share one or two interests, but I could tell we would never get along without that mutual friend there with us or have anything to talk about or do apart from that shared interest. On the other hand, meeting people who don't have the same exact hobbies or interests, but have been wanting to, or are more than willing to learn about it or try it out? Even if they don't end up getting into it, I find I'm more comfortable around them because they were open-minded about it.
