Something to note, the branding on these is Ultra SF2 which is the most recent version released on the Switch. The box art face is definitely the SSF2 game art but the head sculpt does look closer to the HD USF2 option. Its a bit of a mish-mash but i dont mind, feels like theyre trying to thread the needle for a single iconic look and peoples mental image of these characters is a blend of 30 years

Idk. I think most people collecting these know the major different looks for the characters and would prefer those distinct looks to be represented across different releases.

The cape's based on the Street Fighter Alpha cape: the one in Super Street Fighter 2's a cloak he wraps around himself, but Juhn's a huge fan of the Alpha cape so he asked Capcom for permission to use it, and they said yes

I agree with the few negative points that Anthony made; but I still bloody love this figure. He feels solid and poses very well. I thought about adding some shading to the mouth for the grimacing face. If Hasbro put this much effort into their Marvel Legends figs then I'd buy more. Most of their figures can't do the splits (including Spidey) and they insist on using waist cuts ab crunches and ball hinged necks.

Yeah, I constantly hear from hasbroboys that ball hinged necks are necessary for such poses as Iron Man's flying pose, but this is completely untrue. This Bison can do the same with his neck and much-much more, hasbro's necks are 100% inferior in any way.

Great line and great review thanks! Sometimes I feel like they are matching alpha and SF4 designs closer than sf2. Bison has the gray/green cape more prominently in alpha 3. I feel like Fei's portrait is spot on SF4, less sf2.

For $25 these are awesome. There are figures 3× the price that have issues so to have these figures at a fraction of the price AND good packaging it's tough to complain. It's much easier to nitpick a pricey SHF or Storm or Mafex or Yamaguchi cuz they cost $100 or so. They're at the Marvel Legends and McFarlane price point but much better.... to get the added paint would increase the price by atleast $10 in my opinion, of course. I would buy every figure by Jada over any Marvel Legends or McFarlane figure hands down. For the price they knock it outta the park

Still in onboard for the Jada line and as long as I can get DeeJay and T. Hawk I’m happy. I have the old Sota Toys figures and they’re starting to fall apart and have extremely loose hip joints. Fun fact: you can easily swap the Jada Street Fighter heads for their Sota counterparts, I made a custom Dan Hibiki using a Jada Ryu I dyed pink and painted the chest black like Dan’s undershirt.

Honestly I’m all in with Jada’s 1/12th lines. The price and quality is too damn good in my opinion, I’m just hoping Sagat will be a super tall boy whenever we get him.

The Street Fighter Alpha cape gives me hope that they'll do an Alpha version of Chun Li in her athletic outfit. I've been waiting for a good figure of that look in this scale .

Definitely agree with you about the softness on some of these sculpts. It’s a middle ground I’m not particularly happy with it feels like they’re trying to mix SF2 with the softer alpha aesthetics but I’d prefer if they just did both separately. Alpha is my favorite I’d buy figures that really committed to that style instantly

Whether they're good or bad overall I don't know if it's a reasonable expectation that the head sculpts specifically match the super street fighter portraits. To me those always seemed like exaggerated one off caricatures rather than the canonical look of the fighters.

I'm still all in on this line, at least for all the mainline releases but some of the exclusives like pink Chun-Li with her victory pose accessories are winning me over. My biggest gripe with the entire line and Jada as a whole is distribution. I got lucky finding all of them at Target but the only fig that's still there is Fei Long. I've not once seen Bison or Dhalsim in person yet nor any of the Megaman figures aside from Amazon/BBTS/other online retailers. It's frustrating but at least getting them online is easy enough.

I'm not that interested in alt colors, so I'm not too big on the pink Chun alt having extra accessories. I'd like the accessories for the default Chun, so an accessory pack would be ideal.

I initially thought this figure was too small for M.Bison, but after looking at their Official heights... Bison's official height is 5'11 at best he's 6'0. Ryu is 5'9. 5'10 at best so, I think they scale pretty decent. In the animation and games they seem to exaggerate the heights but officially that's their heights. And Bison is the shortest of the 4 bosses, lol

All in. Can’t wait to get mine. Would love a chonky boy/ultra thick Alpha Bison. This looks like a mix between that and SF2. Would love to see Jada do other Capcom characters like Strider Hiryu, Hayato, Jin Saotome, etc from MvC!

Great stuff!I don't know how many times I've watched your SOTA figure reviews. I passed on this Bison due to scale. I customized a Funko savage world Bison head and put it on the SOTA figure.Its perfection...im going with SOTA for Balrog Bison, Sagat.. I modded my NECA Guile and Akuma (gave em asses, a Kanji, and dogtags). Gonna go Jada for everyone else. My Jada Ken is getting the flame effect from ToyBiz lol. Ryu got a custom paint job. May give Chun Li the playmates head customized.

I agree with the faces bugging me a bit, but they made adjustments to Fei Long and the update looks much better. I'm hoping they do the same for Ken, because I won't buy the one they first released since he looks silly to me. Overall, I do like collecting these alongside the Storm Collectibles offerings.

I'm looking forward to getting this. The face sculpt is pretty soft. I'm used to how he looked in the animated movie. May be the plastic not being opaque enough. I still like the SOTA sculpts over these. @AnthonysCustoms any chance of getting some JADA Street Fighter head sculpts from you?

There's something I noticed with my Jada sf2 figures and that is the paint chips very easily after some handling. This has happened to my Ryu Chun Li and Ken already.

What paint? They're molded plastic with some slight shading. There shouldn't be anything chipping.

Yeah in some places there is paint but you really shouldn't be seeing chipping in those places.

I had my M. Bison posed for about 2 or 3 weeks in the pose at 11:31 and when I went back to add the cape his inner left bicep had s small silver line bleed from it. Not gonna lose any sleep over it, but definitely a QC issue that may happen overtime if not brought to attention.

Fantastic line. As a fighting game fan, I'm crossing my fingers for Jada to release stuff from Darkstalkers and maybe KOF (though this is less likely because it's a different company and it's not as well known as SF). A man can dream! I also really, really want Zangief and it's not coming out this year I think. Nice critique about the face sculpts, I haven't noticed it before until you pointed it out. My main criticism of Jada are female figures; they're not there yet and I skipped Chun and will skip Cammy.

Great review as always. I was wondering if anyone was going to point out the sculpting of the muscles...errrr,musculature? I didn't get a red squiggly under it so I'ma say I did spell it right. Anyway, the arms do look weird, like those red bell peppers, and the pecks kinda look like man boobs. The height, like you mentioned, I think is off also, he's BARELY taller that Ryu, and Ryu is barefoot. I'm still getting him regardless, waiting for my preorder at BBTS. But I'm glad you pointed out those little issues.

All in on the line. Proportions on bison arent great but the regular head being smaller helps the overall feel. Legs look stompy, makes him look comical instead of threatening. Adding the alternate big ass world destroying chin just makes him look clownish. I still prefer the sota figures , there is just more personality and boldness in the aculpts, that they still come on top. I wish sota and jada had a baby, a concept art based street fighter line. Overall very happy and excited to buy everything jada.

My biggest problem with this line is that I hate the world warriors. If it were a Street Fighter 6, Alpha or III line I would be all over it I have bought Ryu since he's my favourite SF2 character and I absolutely love him. The line overall looks insane, can't wait to get my hands on Sagat

Another W for Jada Toys! I personally am kinda skipping the SF line, but i have been tempted by the hands of fate many times LMAO. My most anticipated line is definitely gonna be the Cyberpunk Edgerunners line. Currently based on their teasers and some live streams, they're looking to be really well made! Heck, they have soft goods and they're lookin' to have more articulation than the recent Dredd you just reviewed LMAO 💀
