My buddy's kid has been getting into NECA after I showed him some vs his playmates. He snagged this one from our local Target before I could -- even took some action figure photos. I can't even be mad.

My least favorite is usually Mikey, but apparently he is secretly the most talented and would be an absolute beast if he was serious (Hence Last Ronin) so I think that's pretty cool about him

An excellent review. Congratulations on reaching 200K subs. My least fav turtle is probably Raph since according to Playmates lore he has a shell as soft as chewing gum and the other turtles always have to bail him out of trouble because he has too many emotional issues.

I have both this version and the armored version, and I have to say I'm a fan. NECA, really kills it with these releases. Donatello, which doesn't say too much because I like all of them. Never was the biggest turtles fan, but I always thought they were cool.

Yeah...the armored one is much better. I would really like to see neca make more of these figures with the different material/texture clothing articles on them, they do such a good job of representing that, it really makes these figures stand out on a shelf.

I have the armored version and have yet to take it out of the box. But I am slowly considering getting this unarmored version of the Last Ronin. It looks good and the articulation seems alright. No deal breakers there. Unfortunately to answer your question, I have no least favorites among the TMNT. I like all four turtles equally. Their flaws stick out like a sore thumb, as do their strengths.

I can't understand why modern sculptors don't know how to sculpt big shoulders. Take Tim Bruckner, a traditional sculptor, look at his Superman figure (DC direct). HUGE shoulders and chest, a V-shaped torso. That Superman will always be my favorite figure of him even without the modern articulation, because he actually looks like a superhero. A powerful superhero!

Mikey used to be my favourite Turtle when I was a kid, but as a 40 y/o adult I have to say Donatello, hands down. Both of them remind me the most of me. I love joking around like Mikey and I’m definitely into, should I say, the less mature stuff like action figure collecting and reading comics, but like Donnie I’m also into putting stuff together, learning new things, a lot of scientific curiosity and looking at the world a bit more philosophically. They’re definitely the two Turtles I can relate to the most. Wish I had Leo’s sense of discipline when it comes to my artwork though. Raph…. I like red so… yay?

my least favorite (hot take) is mikey, i like that he’s the goofy one and i do like nunchucks, but most versions of him nowadays have him TOO goofy and everything, he never takes anything serious and he gets quite annoying

You pointed out some things about this figure thats giving me some second thoughts. The chest and the arms are throwing me off. I dont mind that neca sacrifices articulation for sculpt but they made some questionable decisions in those areas that make the sculpt and the articulation worse.

My least favorite turtle is Donatello, but I still like him. I loved his character in ride….much more cynical and funny. As for this figure, I love mine. Articulation isn’t strong, but it manages to pull off simple poses that still make for a strong display piece.

I love the figure and everything. Found one at Meijer for like, 36 bucks, I think? The only issue I took with him was the way they chose to do his elbows xD Not terrible, but I feel like it could've been done a little better... Oh, and the little kunai type things, only because I have no idea what to do with them =þ And then there's the nanchaku holster... Still, love it. Can't wait for the rest of the series. (Edit: You eventually listed every one of those things, of course lol) Also, if anyone can figure out where the hell you can store the kunai on him, please do tell 😮‍💨 (Edit #2: Oh snap, I forgot the damned QotD xÞ Uhh... It's actually difficult to say, because they're all great in their own ways... Although, each of themーwith •perhaps• the exception of Leoーhave their own obnoxious li'l idiosyncrasies... 🤔 I'm gonna' catch hell for this, but I guess I'll have to say it's a toss-up between Mikey and Raph. Mikey's a buffoon, and Raphael tries too hard to be angsty and brooding... Then again, he is a tennager 😮‍💨 ≈sigh≈... Sai.)

Least favorite ninja turtles is easy, and I am going to apply the same logic I was using when I was 4: It's Donatello. And it's because he has a stick for a weapon. Everyone else gets a cool weapon. Even Splinter has that blade hidden in his walking stick, except Don who just has a stick. Lame.

Thanks to Anthony I finally realize why this release looks OFF to me: it's the narrow chest and the lack of thicness in the biceps. I think I prefer the armored version just because of this. Still a good release but it could've been stellar.

i dont remember if this bandana posed. if it did, it should pop right out. if it didnt, you might have to fight some glue but it should still be able to be coaxed
