I for one love all the new IP we're getting. It's not the 50th company that's gotten the Ninja Turtles license and is and is releasing their own version of the main four turtles. It's not Hasbro giving us our 500th Wolverine or Spider-Man. It's people telling new stories and giving us new characters that we can interact with, and attach ourselves to. It leads to new stories new Innovations, and creates an easier jumping on point for new fans.

I’m loving that there’s so many new companies making their own IPs and doing great figures for them. The industry needs competition in terms of quality engineering and designs so more people become aware of what’s possible and what is being accepted.

Really reminiscent of the Four Horsemen Seventh Kingdom figures from the early 2000s. Good stuff. And I appreciate new IP, especially when it's done well like some of the Fury Toys stuff, specifically the sharks.

I love new IPS, especially if it blends into a universe im currently collecting. Plus I love these new challengers to the game. More companies making awesome figures means more options for collectors and a wake-up call for the bigger names who are comfortable with not trying.

I typically only stick with already established ip since I have more of an attachment to them and they’re easier to display than new ip. With that said, this Minotaur looks like a complete badass! I’ve been wanting some villains/monsters to display my hero figures fighting and I can picture this being an amazing figure to use. Especially for my Figma Link and FF7 play arts figures

For a new IP, I really like how it looks. The muscle sculpt, paint and even articulation impresses me. Not even comparing to Hasbro, Tamashii Nations sometimes couldn't even give ab crunch without exposing huge gap in the torso from the front or back. Imagine if the bull head is customised into a Broly, it would look so good with this body.

I can easily see interchangeable horns as a possibility for these figs since it would make sense considering the creature itself has different horn styles in it’s various depictions.

I read it as "excess"Ray . Being Greek names I imagine these sound "tahlohs" and "Kahsohs". For new IPS I get them if I like it and I kinda fudge into something I already collect, like Castlevania for monsters

Bro, good on you with the Greek translation!! We are really close in our translations. You said Tahlohs and I said "Taalas". Those names are phonetically only separated by a vowel... which means essentially the same word (to really oversimplify it). Kickass figure. I personally really enjoy whenever they make mythical creatures; there are also tons of stuff in public domain these kind of companies could release: horror monsters, greek mythology, etc.

I question why anyone would dislike new IP, the more the merrier. Figures for everyone’s taste. You want superheroes, you get superpowers, you want scantily clad anime girls, you get scantily clad anime girls, you a giant Roman/Greek mythological bull man, you got it.

Even if I don’t like most products from new IPs, it still means more products that I DO like than would otherwise exist. I actually own one Xesray figure; one of their female gladiators, because female figures, especially good ones, are so hard to come by

This figure is one of my favorites! Pairs well with the Gladiator figure from Combatants of Glory! I used this as a sort of Sayan Brahma Bull for a silly animation 😂

New IP/indie figures to me are some of the best right now especially compared to Hasbro and McFarlane, so it is nice to see reviews of these. I've seen you liked stuff on instagram that seems to be indie orcs or other mythical creatures, these would be nice to see reviewed.

love these. i got the two for 72 each since i pre ordered them a long time ago. i payed 90 bucks for the rhino one. They go pretty good with other things i have. I got a huge diablo figure in a display that have these xesray figures as minions.

Xesray figures all can be taken apart (theoretically) to take off all the armor/clothing and also to mix and match parts when on the same buck. Same with the initial offering of male gladiators, and same with the newer female gladiators. Obviously same with the minos. I don't really like their double-elbows, but as far as articulations go, they really do try to push the limits without involving stuff like drop down hips. I see them as a highly-articulated Mythic Legions. I have the female gladiators and the yellow mino and love them. They're going into viking figures and mythical druid type figures next, and that's very exciting.

Both these Xesrey Minotaurs are pretty great. They have a Rhino version too, but I'm not as big a fan of it personally.

Aside from the French version of the name "Thales", there really isn't a right or wrong answer per se, because it's a name from ancient Greece and we don't know exactly how they pronounced words. However, if you're talking about tte French incarnation of the name, it's pronounced Tahl, or Taal, because there is no "th" sound in the French language and also, "es" at the end of a name/word, is silent. I personally (knowing a bit about linguistics and phonetics) believe the Greeks pronounced it like Tall-es. So, I reckon via provided info, his name is pronounced either "Taal" in french, or in ancient Greek its probably "Taalez", or "Taaless. The one thing I AM certain of, is that it's NOT, pronounced the exact way it's spelled, like "Thayullz" (it's very hard to try annunciating via text. Lol!). I know that's a long answer, but you asked for a non guess and that's about as good as I think anyone besides the person who made the figure could answer! Lol! 😅 Sik

I only collect Spider-Man rofl. But I still want to see these new IPs to be successful. With the amount of effort put into these, they deserve success, and if they're really good enough, eventually become mainstream collectibles. I will, however, back Rival Clans, not to kiss Anthony's ass, but because ninja are the coolest and there were never any ToyBiz level articulated ninja figures when I was a kid. And Rival Clans will finally allow that.

I like to see new IPs, especially the niche stuff. I can't afford all of it, but it's great to see. This guy, Furai Planet stuff, Axytoys, the original figures LooseCollector is doing etc. Funny that there's a notable focus on bestial or anthropomorphic animal figures across a few of these new/newer brands.

Wow, that's a big beefy unit! Looks great though. Perfectly good with new IP and as my main is Star Wars and there's not that many new figs each year I'm perfectly happy to grab anything new I like the look of. Eg, I grabbed the Romankey Gun Girl from Cyberpunk Edge Runners, as it looks awesome

Thales is probably pronounced Thay - Lees (Lees like Lee's) It's most likely based on Greek where in English the "e" at the end of words is pronounced like "Socrates".

I have them both they are very good pieces on my collection, I have the brown one as my Dario Hagger for my asgard Display and this one on my gladiators display where difrent marvel and DC characters are powerless and wearing galdiators style custom, like superman wonder woman Batman ,Thor, Wolverine for example, fighting all the XesRay action figures, female combatants are very good too!

generally I don't get new IPs. I originally only collected figures that were video game related, but further branched out some from there. The only new IP that I started collecting is the FurRay Planet figures. They are so good and look amazing and are just unique and cool, so I couldn't resist. This guy almost fits in with them as well, so I may consider getting this. Only thing I'm not liking about the FurRay Planet figures is they are getting a bit too Eastern inspired characters. I was loving the Crocodile and Wolf and like the others, but want some that are not just ninja/samurai style

Yeah they are not exactly "new" since they've put out several gladiator figures years ago and a bunch of roman soldiers/gernerals as well. This figure and some other upcoming beasts are made to fight their gladiator figures.

For the QOTD, I'm interested with new IPs with cool figures (I would like to have figures from IPs I enjoy though). I like the material they use (nice hefty figure) and from my experience, the joints are smoother than what Axytoys uses.

The new ips from china are trashing the established brands. Not only are the prices reasonable, the higher quality, number of accessories, great attention to details and the consideration to use softer materials that make sense is so much better than brands like shf, mafex, etc
