I am Native American Indian. I am of the great and honorable Mi'kmaq Nation (sounds like: meeg + maw). My people have resided in Mi'kma'ki for well over 10,000 documented years. You all know this land now as the Atlantic provinces of Canada and Northern Maine, United States.) So very few times are we mentioned in the media like this and I'm so thankful for Anthrax for doing this one. Thank you guys for reacting to it! Kel, Your people (the French) and my people (Mi'kmaq) used to live together in harmony. My ancestors welcomed your ancestors to my peoples homelands since time immemorial, with open arms. In return, your people respected my people and we used to live right alongside each other. We would hunt, fish, gather berries etc together and live as one (the only boundary we set is for your men to refrain from our women) and we lived in peace. The French were the only people that came who viewed us as equal human beings. The British unfortunately were a vastly different people. My spirit thanks your spirit my sister. Rich, I don't have to tell you about how things went down. It's clear you've educated yourself on the matter. I was going to post a few statistics until you shared your views. I can see those are not needed here my friend. I want to let you know something my brother; Just because your a white man and your ancestors were guilty of a multitude of genocidal acts, I would like you to know, you have no reason to feel "icky" at all. You have chosen a much different path. The road you walk isn't the road your ancestors walked. You decided to take a different route. You know in your heart, unlike the white men before you, that the Indian is equal human to you. Your now a great alley and I hope you come to let go of any icky feelings and hold your head high and walk with pride my brother. Thank you for your reaction. Thank you for your understanding of my peoples hardships, in the past and the present. Thank you for your compassion. Msit No'Kmaq (all my relations) Walk in honor my friends.

As a MI'kmaq in NS Canada I approve of this song! My mom, grandmother basically everyone older than 55 went to "Residential Schools" to get the "Indian" scrubbed from them, and to have most of my relatives still live on "Reservations". Joey Belladonna (Lead singer) is First Nations as well and is in the same kinda situation. Cool song that shined a little light on a touchy subject.

Love that you reacted to this song. I've been an Anthrax fan since the late 80's and though this is a song with a heavy message and intrigues me (having native heritage myself), this has always been one of my favorites, based solely on the musical content. A heavy message in a heavy song! WAR DANCE!

My best memory of Anthrax was in Dutch town of Zwolle where we played a soccer game with Anthrax and Testament... Fans against bands.. A hot Sunday summer day ... from two in the afternoon to 5 ... it was the most beautiful rock memory in my life... BTW... we smashed them.. they still owe me a rematch like they promised hahaha... Oh yeah.. and after the concert me and my little brother returned home by train without our pants, just in underwear because all the girls ripped our already ripped jeans.. we were a special sight to see... best concert ever... Love these guys to death...

Anthrax made this Song about americas "Glory" History how the Indians were treated. But in this case,TESTAMENT/CHUCK BILLY (the Singer) should be mentioned. Awards and honors: In 2013, California State Assemblyman Jim Frazier honored Billy on the State Assembly floor for his positive influence on the Native American community. Billy became the first Native American to be permanently featured in the memorabilia display at the Hard Rock Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2013. He is also recognized in the National Museum of the American Indian exhibit in the Smithsonian Institution titled, "Up Where We Belong: Native Musicians in Popular Culture". Personal life Billy was born to a Native American father and a Mexican mother. He is of the Pomo Native Americans, an indigenous people of Northern California, and is proud of his Native American heritage, sometimes giving a shoutout to his "Native brothers and sisters" in the audience. The song "Trail of Tears" is a tribute to his heritage, as are "Allegiance" and "Native Blood". In 2010, Chuck Billy was among those recognized in the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian exhibit Up Where We Belong: Native Musicians in Popular Culture, which was on display through January 2, 2011.Billy is first cousins with Stephen Carpenter, co-founder and lead guitarist of alternative metal band Deftones.

K-n-R, gotta tell you the truth, I have found soooooo many copycat channels out there. But of course you 3 are the so high above them all. You are by far the truest response to music and have the absolute best and loveliest reasons for doing what you do, better than all the poseurs. I have a double request #AllThatRemains songs "This calling" and "Not Alone". Both songs are short and honestly (and I would not lie to you about a subject so dear to all of our hearts), when I listen to this album, I think of your loss and I believe these 2 songs will reach all 3 of you in your own special ways.. I make this recommendation because this band was still metal back then and the lead singer had the greatest range ever back then, AND many of this album Fall of Ideals has so much passion and I apologize for pulling at your heartstrings but I can't let you go another day without these two song's choruses coursing through your veins. Your metal friend 4ever 🤘JR 🤘

I watched Anthrax play a couple of times, always a great show! And once I got to stand together with the band at baggage carousel at Ljubljana airport. Funny story - I flew back home (Slovenia), returning from a five-weeks long trip in Arizona. It was June 2005. Tired after an overnight flight, I realized the guys around me were Anthrax members. We were all waiting for our bags to show up. I guess they just flew in from the USA, and they were playing at the Metal Camp festival later on that day. I was thinking to myself - should I say something, like: "Wow, I'm your number one fan, I've been listening to your music for 20 years etc etc". But I didn't say anything. I also had a giant Nemo (clown fish) under my arm, for my 3-year old daughter, which made things a bit comical. My wife and I went to see them play a few days later in Graz (Austria). Song request: #kalmah "Take Me Away" (greetings from beautiful Slovenia)

The same way you belong, not in part to your Nation (despite your genetic makeup which is likely a great mix of nationalities too) American but simply American if your a US citizen (or Canadian or wherever) We don't call you part, please don't call us part. My favourite Anthrax songs are Among The Living (based on Stephen King's The Stand) I Am The Law (Judge Dredd) and Keep It In The Family. The first time I saw Anthrax live was in Montreal back in 1991. They were opening for Iron Maiden. When Iron Maiden played Heaven Can Wait the guys from Anthrax came on stage to sing with them. By the way we had a great Innu group here in Quebec in the 90's who were singing in Innu-aimun (Montagnais) called Kashtin. Some of their songs were featured in Northern Exposure and Due South. Some of their best songs were Tshinanu, E uassiuian and Tipatshimun. Thye might be hard to find but it would be nice to see you react to them.

Spot on Kel, It was a very strong message. You ask if there was any other song(s) that had a message like this. The only one I can think of is Indian Reservation by Paul revere and the raiders or One tin Soldier by Coven. It was attached to the movie called Billy Jack. By knowing the movie, you know the movement. By knowing the movement, you know the Indian plight. Billy Jack is synonymous with the Indian plight at Wounded Knee incident in 1973 and the sit in at Alcatraz Island in San Francisco Bay from 1969 to 1971. Kel, I've noticed that when you listen to the lyrics for evaluation, you tend to wrinkle your forehead. You might want to relax your brow. :-)

Lead singers Joey Belladonna of Anthrax and Chuck Billy of Testament are both part Native American. Chuck's father is Pomo and his mother Mexican. Joey is Native American on his mother's side and has a covers side project named Chief Big Way. Their heritage informs their lyrics. Other notable musicians with Native American ancestry include Jimi Hendrix, Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and Blackie Lawless (WASP), and all have touched on that topic in their music.

Once again, I usually prefer studio versions of these songs, but not this one. I have a brilliant version from the Big 4 cd, filmed in Sophia, Bulgaria, during their concerts together, throughout Europe in 2009. First off, during the wardance, Joey dons a full Indian headdress and runs all over the stage. Also, just before that part, there is a slight pause by the band as they jump into a verse and a bit of the chorus of Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath. This was to honor Ronnie James Dio, who had died two months earlier. I know you already reacted to this, but, for your own viewing pleasure, I would encourage you to check that version out from the Big 4 concert cd.

If you do another Anthrax song you should consider Belly Of The Beast, it's a great tune and a crowd favourite. Another song is a cover of a Joe Jackson song called Got The Time, it's 2 and a half minutes of thrash perfection with a killer bass intro.

#Anthrax Who Cares Wins Watertown NY. A great song about the homeless #anthrax Keep it in the Family. About racism. Also please react to my other requests. Btw Joey hails from very near me and I've met him several times. He also sings while playing drums in a classic rock band where I live. Classic rock is his favorite genre. He'll play for 2-4 hours and usually for free.

You two should listen to Testament - Native Blood, or rather watch the video. Either or actually. Everyone that reads this will agree that this would be a perfect song to check out. It as well as other songs hits home for me because I am Native American. #kelnrich P. S. You two are amazing. Never change. Bless you both.

I like Metal with a message, Indians along with many others. Metal was frowned upon as Devil Music by people that never read the lyrics. Anthrax with Public Enemy live "Bring The Noise" was a big transitional performance for the time. Scott Ian singing "...what you gonna do, Rap is not afraid of you..."

Great shirt do you know what band brought the 🤘to rock? #coven Black Sabbath Jinx Dawson has an amazing voice the band coven is most known for One Tin Soldier The Ballad of Billy Jack. Jinx was such an innovator Sadly she does not get the respect she deserves.

#PersistenceofTime; #efilnikcufecin The lead guitarist Dan Spitz was a phenomenal musician, but also a master clock maker and was part of their inspiration for the album Persistence of Time. He left music to focus on his family and making timepieces. His son has autism and he is part of the movement warning parents of the vaccine dangers.Check out Persistence of Time and the Joe Jackson cover Got the Time . They crush it!! Horns up 🤘🏼
