I was at this show. Iron Maiden headlined and Megadeth was supposed to be here but couldn't make it and Testament filled in for them. I still have my Monsters of Rock T-shirt and ticket stub from this show. If I remember right, it was estimated to be around 200,000 people to be here for this event but don't quote me. I was only 14 years old at the time and very memorable with great friends. Thank You for showing this on KZbin! This really takes me down memory lane and I'll never forget! Makes me feel like I was apart of Heavy Metal History for sure 🤘🤘

I remember a funny story about Tony Andrews walking that site at Donington and pointing out that there was a bad driver in some specific box in the cluster. They all thought "Wow, he's such a genius, how can he hear that?". Then he pointed out that you could see sunlight coming through the open hole. Haha. It was the only metal show we had until MTV started doing it (or got on the cable). I taped the shows on VHS then played it loud on the TV and recorded that on my tape recorder.
