Funny story about the Lassen sweater in this video. I got this at the bins and had it listed since July. Same color pattern. I didn’t know the name of it so I didn’t have a stock photo-I just modeled it myself. I dropped the price to $15 about a month ago and still not bites. Well I saw your video last night and because of you was able to get the name and a stock photo. I relisted it with the new information. It sold the very next morning (today) for $25. So thank you!

Thank you. You have helped me so much with brands, I get overwhelmed with all the thrift stores near me and your brand videos and hauls. all have helped me a lot.
YAY! I was also a person who asked for examples on how you go about sourcing, finding stock photos, and listing them! So I’m EXTREMELY glad it was answered!! This video really inspired and motivated me for my thrift trip Wednesday So informative in every aspect from what categories work to pick up/don’t pick up, brands, and even taking us to the store to see ourselves!! Again, THANK YOU! I just turned on that notification bell and can’t wait to get an alert for the next video!!😊😊

I never have trouble resisting Anthropologie pieces because I CAN NEVER FIND ANY! LOL! My goodwill is filled with Christopher Banks, Chicos and Coldwater Creek plus lots of Gap and Old Navy. Whoo hoo. I think if I did find an Anthro piece I'd probably just get it anyway because it's better than the rest of the junk I find. Plus (I don't know about your good will) but ours puts ANYTHING above and beyond the basic brands in the Fashion Forward section and marks it up so it's impossible to resell. It's disheartening some days trying to thrift cool items for my closet.

This video is so so good! I just sold a lemon print top from 52 conversations last week. All of the pieces are limited runs, so they def. go for more. The buyer had ruined her own shirt in the wash and had been specifically looking for a replacement! Mine has a small stain and didn't have a size tag, but sold for $40. Woo!

Thank you for taking the time to do this. I am a huge anthro seller and 100% agree with your assessment. I made a decision this year to not pick up tops but focus on jackets and dresses. AND I hate when people post Urban Outfitters as Anthro-it just makes the category even more saturated than it is.

Fabulous content, Mogi Beth! I get sucked down the Anthro rabbit hole ALL THE TIME. I've taken extensive notes from this video. Can't thank you enough. One question: At one point when you're researching the red Tabitha eyelet swing jacket, you say "the one that sold most recently". I've always wondered how we can tell WHEN something was sold! There is a date, but no year. Is there a trick or something easy that I'm missing?? Thanks so much.

I just watched your BOLO shoes video before I went to the GW. Found Kork-ease! I would not have known about it, right off, if not for you! Found Donald Plinr and Brighton loafers, marked $25.99 and $35.99. Can't really resell at that price. And I saw a GRAYLIN tag on a dress, so tomorrow I'm heading back to investigate that. I have found tops don't really sell that well for me. So many brands to learn, so many tags. Your knowledge is appreciated!

Omg I can’t thank you enough! I have been picking up literally every Anthropologie piece I can find because I like to focus on reselling mostly Anthropologie and Free People, but it’s taken me awhile to realize that the tops are sitting there forever and definitely only sell at $20. I can never say no to Maeve though. I pride myself on knowing most of the brands, but the ones you go for are ones I was unfamiliar with. Except Farm Rio, I’m dying to find that (mostly for myself!). I love this! You're right, tops seem to sell for around the $20 mark. Some surprising and fast sellers for me are Lapis and Lili's Closet. Anthro is still one of my top and favorite sellers in all platforms - my one Farm Rio dress sold for $100! I hope you have similar luck. I love learning about the new brands that come to Anthro. This was so informative! You are so right too. I love Anthropologie and free people so much that I would pick up anything by either of them. For the most part everything will sell but it sits forever and a day, for not that much. I would go to Final Cut weekly & they had a box of Farm Rio they were going to put out but the employee kept it for herself 😥 They closed the NJ location & I miss it so much I found so much of my good Anthropologie stuff there & learned a lot! Now I don’t find as much. I’ve also become super picky & end up passing on most of it.

I love Anthro so if its cute I'll pick it up for myself but my goodwill marks it for $5.49 at most occasionally $7.99 if its a dress with tags so if I buy it to resell and it doesn't I don't mind much cuz its something I like I will just wear it or redonate it not a huge loss...But despite having an anthro store in my city I don't find it super often sadly though I have picked up a few nice pieces recently sweaterwise...

Unfortunately when I started reselling in April 2019 I was using knowledge from videos that were made in 2018 and people were saying Anthropologie and free people sell! So I started picking those up & have definitely learned that if I would’ve worn it in high school(late 2000s) to not pick it up! I had to unlearn all those years of reseller tips! I did sell two older coats for 80 and 100 bucks, they were gorgeous! Vintage Anthropologie is an interesting niche!
