New viewer, just got this suggested to me by YT, and my thought was nearly instantly "my goodness, music would be a poor substitute for such a beautiful, calming speaking voice!" I wouldn't complain if there was music if she got tired of trying to fill in quiet bits, and I prefer the people I watch & enjoy to do things in the way that's easiest and best for them, but man... yeah. This is some ambient/asmr type video in addition to a lovely home, beautiful view, sweet pets, and watching a beautiful piece of art come to life!

This turned out beautiful ❤️. I was a single mom raising a boy with chronic health issues which means we didn't have a lot of money. I wanted our home to look nice so I would look in thrift stores or estate sales and buy nice wood furniture that needed to be fixed up. My son loved that the stuff in our home was stuff I had worked on. There were times when I felt bad that I couldn't afford to go buy nice stuff. At one point we moved into this awful little place while waiting to get to move into a home I was buying. When my son saw it I apologized and told him it was just for a little while. His response was that I always made our home pretty and he knew I could do it with this place. My son is 25 now and still prefers the stuff I fix. He has a night stand that a girlfriend hated and he refused to get rid of it because it's one I fixed up for him ten years ago. What does drive him nuts isme taking on too many projects. I'm currently working on 3 chairs, 4 dressers, 3 tables and a night stand. If people give me furniture I always take it 😜

If you don't want to caulk your corners on a frame you can use wood shavings/saw dust mixed with wood glue to fill your spaces. This is beautiful, glad KZbin recommended this!

I made my son a upcycled lamp, I took his childhood Curious George lamp and turned it into a Orange Road Cone lamp with a caution tape lamp shade, and he almost left it when he moved out but I convinced him to take it and and all of his friends love it and he is still quite indifferent about it. Kids...they kinda suck but you love them anyways 😆

I wasn't really phased by the lockdown. I'm a big homebody who doesn't enjoy going out much. I realized this when lockdown began & the pressure to socialize was take off. I had plenty enough of that during my working years. I also live in a rural area. I went once a month to do a big shopping at a large discount store & never had any trouble getting what I needed. When I heard TP was to get I invested in a bidet (installed myself in about 15 minutes) which I absolutely love. I now realize how nasty using TP is & such a waste of money. I planted a wonderful huge container garden (mostly grow bags I sewed myself from landscaping cloth) which provides most of my produce and hunkered down with crafting & redoing bits around my home. Small easy repairs, paint, weatherstripping & such. Lots of organizing & decluttering. I asked friends to let me know when they had furniture they were looking to get rid of & also asked for old but the fabric good clothing & sheets. I was amazed by what I was given. Air dry clay & my molds (many of them IOD) were a major part of my upcycling & crafting projects. For other supplies I shopped online. When I'd gone to the city for my monthly shopping I stopped at a new homes construction site & collected a big load of scrap wood. I've used most of it up now over a year later & ready to go collect more. I haven't changed my ways much since the lockdown ended & am perfectly content & happy. 2 of my friends came over after the lockdown was lifted & were astonished at the difference in my home. I even reupholstered my upholstered furniture using drop cloths! I love what you did with the frame. One of my favorite upcycling projects!

It funny how children don't like what we like, down the track it might b different. Trying different looks n techniques r good. Keep doing what ur doing Cheryl. Dogs like yr attention n follow u where ever u go. We have 2dogs here Lucky n Pebbles. Sometimes they think they r missing out on something, they do get jealous of each other, so I give them pats or scratches behind there ears they move their face to tell me wear to go, they love there massages n get annoyed when I stop . With this lockdown. I have noticed it more. I noticed when they nudge me , they r saying they want more love n affection . They r like human sometimes.
