In 1967 I started to get interested in archeology. I even started an Independant Study Archeology class in my high school. Back then, the first native Americans were the Clovis People, and their history only went back about 7,000 years. Remarkably, archeologists didn't learn anything different, until years later, some of them broke the current tabu's at the time and dug deeper. A lot of ancient history has been recycled as the earth subducts and is melted and mixed with the Earth or flowed out or was blown out of volcanos. I think there is a possibility that the Human Race is cyclic. Humans progress to a level of technology where they learn how to destroy most of themselves with whatever their most extreme weapon is...kind of like right now.

I think the classic academic refusal to acknowledge new evidence and adjust his thinking accordingly has to be Ales Hrdlicka. He was the initial curator of the Smithsonian department of Anthrology and refused to admit the age of the Clovis finds till the day he died.(1943?) Instead he maintained Native Americans could have been in the western hemisphere no more than 3000 years. Another classic example are the Geology Mandarins who refused to except the Ice Age flood data J. Harlan Bretz documented in Eastern Washington back in the 1930s and 40s. Academic rule by proclamation has to be fought anew every generation. The Clovis first believers took Hrdlicka's place and ignored new evidence of mankind in the Americans any longer than 12000 years ago. They've lost that battle in the last decade with finds in Chile and White Sands, NM demonstrating unimpeachable evidence of much older habitation. To keep asking the questions is the important thing and to admit what we don't know. Climbing down from the soapbox now.

Neil Tyson’s close mindedness just bugs me so much. He of all people somehow can’t comprehend that beings who can traverse space… are also traversing time!! Meaning they’re experiencing existence itself in a far different manner than we can even imagine. I agree with a lot of what’s said here. The idea that a minority of people are dead set in their beliefs is maybe true but it’s a pretty big minority. 😂. Depending on the subject I guess but if politics are replaced with aliens I would say a majority of people are dead set in their opinions.

You've called this guy an "Evolution Scientist" (wouldn't that be an Evolutionary Biologist?), and now an "Anthropologist" on your videos. Which one is it? They aren't closely related fields. Words have meaning, and unless this guy has attained a degree from a reputable academic institution, you can't just call him an Evolutionary Biologist or an Anthropologist because he has a personal interest in the subject. Beyond that, I think it's pretty glaringly conspicuous that this guy is a charlatan and a fraud, and he is spreading misinformation and constructing false narratives in order to make money. I have no doubt something odd is going on, and it appears that we are being visited by aliens. Invoking time-travellers or inter-dimensional beings, or whatever else has recently been pushed, is however, both an unnecessary convolution, and also supported by zero evidence. Putting aside the ethical issues of disseminating misinformation and lies - by giving this guy your platform to promote himself, all you're doing is negatively impacting your own reputation which will negatively impact your own source of income, either immediately or in due course. Why do that?
