The idea of slightly damaging the skin and letting it heal makes total sense. It’s what they do a little deeper with laser. I almost ordered a roller, then I saw your video. Ordered! I’m excited, I’m 61 but look younger and I want to help my skin out as much as I can that’s not thousands of dollars with a tad of regret. Cheers!

I've been using a microneedling roller once a week for about a month. Dr. Rajani has done a few videos on microneedling that are worth a watch. He says to make sure your roller is made of INDIVIDUAL needles, rather than a single piece with spikes on it. Those little "needle wheels" are the ones more likely to rip and damage the skin. Anyway, I love the way my skin looks the day after. I'm excited to see how it looks after several more weeks! I feel like I missed out on all the benefits of things like retinol, microneedling, and (gulp!) sunscreen through sheer willful ignorance. Now that I'm in my 40s, I'm finally coming around to good skincare. Thanks for this video!

Yes I do like his videos! Thanks for sharing all of this. It's never too late to start skincare!

I don’t know if it’s the hair being pulled back or the no makeup, but something about either of those things made you look even more youthful than the beginning of the video, which you already looked great in

My youngest child is 47. I am 78 and people always comment on my skin. I find the best care starts from within. Never smoke! Get adequate rest, hydrate and watch your diet. I take vitamins and supplements, particularly Alpha Lipoic Acid, for reasons other than skin . Do your research. I always sleep on my back. Avoid direct sun and use sunscreen. Prevention is better than correction. Of course one important thing is to carefully select your parents (ha ha) heredity is inevitable. Don't try unnatural methods, these can backfire. I never spend money on expensive creams, just keep skin clean and simple moisturizer. I have never used make up base, simple minimal blush, lipstick etc. Embrace aging, don't fight it.

Well, I'm not so sure if I would dare to do this. I would be afraid to hurt my skin too much. But that's just me! - I just wanted to say that you look very beautiful with (almost) no make up! Much younger than 47, too. I understand that's not your goal, but it's still nice, isn't it?

HI, I'm curious about how would you compare this system's experience and benefits to the simple roller? I love your honest content. Bea
@unblahyourselfАй бұрын
@@beaazu826 I love how thorough the roller is but too many people have said that it could be damaging to skin and I am way too rough to be fooling around with something that could damage my skin. This simple stamp forces me to be more present and careful which I appreciate!

Matrixyl doesn’t penetrate the skin. The molecules are too big so though it may work in theory it can’t work in topical applications
@StelmaDesignsАй бұрын
I also have done the roller and was considering the micro needling pen. Have you looked into those? They seem to be the next step up from the roller an that stamp but I haven't sprung to buy one as they are also more expensive. I am more consistent with my Quasar red light and cod liver oil lately but I like the idea of a stamp better than a roller :o)
@unblahyourselfАй бұрын
I wish a roller weren't considered damaging because I like how thorough it is. I have to be careful with a stamp that I cover the entire surface area. If I'm not paying attention I'll starting randomly stamping areas. But maybe it's good that it's forcing my attention because I should be paying attention when stamping my face with needles!!
@MarlieMindUАй бұрын
Just wondering if you ever had problem skin in the past? I am reluctant to go micro needling because my many skin problems and easy breakouts when a product isn’t exactly right for me.
@unblahyourselfАй бұрын
I didn't have a problem as a teen but in my early 20s I developed cystic acne on my forehead and chin. It was probably hormonal but it took about 5 years or so to clear by improving my diet. I could see that you'd be hesistant!
@DwynfalАй бұрын
Hi Diana! Do you still use castor oil? I'm still quite happy with it, it does really seem to help my wrinkles and fine lines as well as the overall texture of my skin. I've looked inro Qure because I'm curious, as always. Whilst they do ship to Europe they leave it up to customers to deal with import taxes, which is a giant pain and very expensive! EU customs charge an import duty of 0-20% (% depending on the type of goods) of the cost of the goods + the cost of shipping, then they add the EU sales tax of 21% on the cost of the product + the import duty, and finally they add a processing fee of roughly €25-45 per shipment! It's insane! Many companies have an agreement with the EU that saves the customer the fees levied on the cost of shipping and the processing fee by billing the import duty and sales tax at checkout but it looks like Qure hasn't. 😢 I recently ordered 2 car window stickers that I thought were being shipped from an EU country but actually came from the US. They cost a little over €12 shipping included (they shipped in a normal letter-sized envelope). My customs, import and processing fees were a little over €29!!! 😳😭
@unblahyourselfАй бұрын
It is so crazy doing international shipping from here! I learned this the super hard way by trying to ship internationally. You would think they could streamline this better for better worldwide commerce. It feels so ancient and punishing!
@DwynfalАй бұрын
@@unblahyourself it is absolutely absurd, especially for small businesses! It used to be that goods valued under €25 would be exempt, as well as certain types of goods such as books or gifts, but they changed the law a couple years ago. For large companies, it makes sense to set up the import/sales tax agreement since the EU market is huge, but for small businesses it's a hassle and probably not worth the cost, even if it's a one-time thing. I shop a lot online so I have to be super careful 😞 I'm OK with paying the import and sales taxes, but the rest of the fees make me so mad!!! Paying over €40 for 2 stickers someone probably made on a Cricut is beyond ridiculous! But I wanted to support the charity that sold them. 🤷♀️
@unblahyourselfАй бұрын
@@Dwynfal that's awfully kind of you! There was a point where I just completely stopped shipping internationally because I could not handle the hassle and cost!
@DwynfalАй бұрын
@@unblahyourself honestly, had I known they were going to ship from the US instead of the EU I would have just sent a cash donation and have been happy with that. At least the charity weren't charged any extra for my mistake!
@virginiaboone9503Ай бұрын
Did you stop your nightly castor oil regimen? I’m confused because you don’t mention it here.
@unblahyourselfАй бұрын
@@virginiaboone9503 no I decision still use it all the time. I find it hard to lay out everything in use because I change it from night to night depending on how my skin feels that day. Castor oil happens most nights whether alone or over a product like retinol or a serum.

I would love to support your business. Would you consider offering scarves with colors flattering to a summer by color analysis? I have very cool toned skin with cool blue-gray eyes and natural light ash blonde going silver. I look best with scarves of lower contrast, cool, smokey colors, etc.
