So you ARE Canadian! U of R, eh (Alumni sticker)? Love the commentary and ingenuity! Keep it up my friend.

The deer netting seems a tad short, just to the top of the bed frame. I hope the deer don’t stick their noses up under it… And I think they could defeat those magnets quite easily.

You are right, this worked to get my plants started but not later in the season. I'm working on a DIY ultrasonic solution that seems to be effective. Film at 11.

The whole design is nowhere near deer proof. Here in Ohio, our local lovelies will just push that stuff out of the way. They can weigh 200+lbs(91k), and your magnets are woefully inadequate. They can generate enough ergs to clear a 5' fence. What makes you think this is robust enough?

Otherwise, carry on. I do enjoy your content.

Although it didn't last the entire growing season, my plants got a good enough start for me to get some produce. The deer have not been super aggressive so maybe I just got lucky. Next spring I'll try something different I think.

Is that an old Ford Courier/Mazda B2000 in your driveway ? I haven’t seen one of those in years. Great little pickups ! “ Sakes alive only Mazda’s got a truck just $5,795 ! “

Nice call! 1984 Mazda B2000. Doesn't seem like there are too many left around. Hard to get parts. It's been a fun project though. "Sakes Alive" indeed....whatever that means.
@@USNVA11 That's a great Ad but it doesn't get me any closer to understanding what "Sakes Alive" is ^_^

@@poison_lembas - from Urban Dictionary: land sakes alive - Used as a general term of exclamation or surprise similar to oh my lord, or oh my goodness, or oh shit. Mostly used by people in the 1930's, 1940's, and 1950's. Possibly a minced oath (softened form of swearing) substitute for "For the Lord's sake." See also land sake. Land sakes alive, my grandmother said. That sure was a swell sunset.
