That's how Christians ought to determine the identity of the Antichrist.

Exactly! An Anti-Christ will deny Christ as God made flesh. So, if someone accepts Christ as God, then they cannot be the Anti-Christ.

@@ryangallmeier6647 Yes it is. Here are 3 examples confirming that the anti-christ is one who denies God became a man. There isn't just a singular antichrist, because evil is legion. The spirit of antichrist can inhabit anyone, but is still a singular spirit doing it. *1 John 2:22* - 'Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.' *1 John 4:3* 'And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.' *2 John 1:7* 'For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.'

"ἀντί" in Koiné Greek can mean several things. It can mean "against" as you said, but it can also mean "substitute". Besides, if you were Satan, wouldn't you "pretend" to play along with Messiah's message to gain trust? Personally, I think people are underestimating the principalities and powers we're dealing with, and the worst tactical mistake an army can make is underestimating the enemy.

Would the perfect infiltration not be supported by the perfect imitation? This is fodder friend, sorry to say. I'm not trying to argue the opposite, but instead, focus on God exclusively. Ultimately even the demons will be used to fulfill God's ultimate will. That should not frighten or concern you. When all is said and done, we aren't meant to focus on these things in this way to try and "catch" the anti christ. But rather to turn our focus towards God so that he may absolve us of such things and embrace us with all that He is.
