I've never seen an established band take such drastic action before, especially pre-emptively. It was the disbanding that prompted the public investigation. Nobody had outright accused them or their singer of anything at this point. Just raises more questions.

@@ConvincingPeople That exact kind of situation is actually how Black Country, New Road formed: they were originally in a band named Nervous Conditions, but after accusations came out against the singer of that band they broke up and then formed a new band without him. Almost eerie how history can rhyme sometimes (though in BC,NR's case they seemed keen to distance themselves from him basically since the accusations came to light).

It's also possible that Justin was the one in control of the socials and that's why everything went dark, that's happened several times with other bands before. One would kind of hope that the rest of the band without Justin would reform into something new, but the broken trust might nip that in the bud.

Knowing Anti-Flag and Justin I completely understand their actions and wanting to pay respect to someone who feels like a victim. Until Court proceedings go through. If it’s true, which their actions right before this came out suggest, this is a massive backstab. These guys stood for what I believe in, now to see this come out. I can’t justify even streaming this. I don’t want to believe it, but if or until or whatever the right word is it’s false, I’m not listening to them. If it’s proven true, the biggest backstab possible, this is the band that got me into feminism and gender equality, for the main voice to do something that heinous and vile is honestly shocking

Honestly, what Anti-Flag did here most closely resembles to me what happened with the political metalcore band Gaza some years back, where there were some really harrowing accusations made surrounding the frontman and the group immediately disbanded… only for every member *except* for said frontman to reconvene as Cult Leader not too long after, with said ex-member vanishing from the music scene entirely and the former members preferring not to talk about him. If this situation is anything like that one, well, I don't think that the other members knew, and I suspect that they are, quite justifiably, very, very angry. Which is sad and horrible, but it is what it is, and if this should be the case, I wish them all the luck in the world with their future endeavours.

I feel extremely bad for Jon. The woman who made those accusations later admitted to fabricating them. Gaza will always be one of my favorite bands of all time. Anti-Flag is generic bullshit that I couldn't give a shit less about and there are thousands of bands that sound exactly like them

@@GENXJOPLIN I have not heard a lot of Gaza, just listened to a few songs. But they did kick ass. Easily better then 95% of punk and hardcore that has come out. Anti-flag blow. I liked some of their early stuff as a teenager but the later stuff really sucks. Anti-Flag are barely even better then Good Charlotte or Simple Plan.

The fast disbandment tells us anti flag really believed in their message to the point of being sincere with their principles and call it quits as they knew the truth. No other band would have been so honest with their message to call it quits. Other bands would have acted cowardly going on with their show. Anti Flag have been honest in the end and we should appreciate it. If Justin did it there is no excuse though the situation of the violence was shady. Two drunk persons in a room after a night together. What in the world would have happened if not sex? The girl said she was confused about the fact if she should have been happy or devastated about having had sex with his hero. My take is that Justin was so full of himself not to think that the girl didn't really want to have sex with him. Not an excuse but I guess sometimes situation are not that clear as they seem. Don't make him a monster....people is so quick to judge these days.

You have already convicted Justin of rape and dont even know if its true. Imagine being convicted without a trial/defense statement. This always believe the victim shit needs to stop. I understand that everyone handles trauma different. But at the end if the day, you cant go around making baseless accusations. And you haven't even notified the proper authorities. I have seen this breakup coming for a while. I have often wondered if either Chris #2 or even Justin Sane himself started to privately drift into right wing , conservative nationalist politics as they got older. I don't know whether these accusations against Justin are true but I knew that Anti Flag wasn't going to last until 2025. I was correct. And I would seriously not doubt if at least part of the break up stems from the fact that one or more members got outted somehow as now being conservative. It's just my theory though, nothing is written in stone. I do wish to add that my belief is that these accusations (whether true or false) were just the straw that broke the camel's back.

So we can't show you any evidence that he's guilty of anything but we're just going to assume he's guilty. No. I do not accept the claim that the band breaking up is evidence of his guilt. The communist witch hunts in America were not without reason, the USSR was a big power back then. And yes innocent noncommunists were victims of cancel culture. But many communists were exposed. They broke up with no attempt to even defend him. Though I do think the Me Too movement has gone to far and innocent men are accused. But I am pretty sure he is guilty.
