6:56-7:00 You're not wrong, because it turns out according to one ex-Kidz Bop member on a now-deleted r/AskReddit article, Kidz Bop was set up and handled by the son of a notorious con artist who would swindle the child singers and their parents out of their savings. It could take months or even years to get royalties for these songs from this twat alone, and he only wanted each Kidz Bop CD to be sold for a quick buck, rather than provide talent through the children covering music(it's even obvious when Kidz Bop botched good songs without understanding either one's context, and cleaned up songs that were already for family movies like Let It Go and Sunflower even further, made completely meaningless because clean versions of songs with profanity, violence, and sexual themes exist in particular). Lastly, Kid Rock and Falling in Reverse(so is the artist Ronnie Radke) only made names for themselves through acting completely foolish, immoral, and questionable in public. They weren't talented at all despite thinking so, and fumbled by bad covers produced alongside their erratic behavior(even towards fans). They deserve all the hate, and despite my sister liking FiR unironically, she too admits the artist's covers and lead Ronnie Radke are completely shitty.

A lot of the covers Kirk and Robert did during that concert run were interesting. I can tell that Jacoby was not really vibing, he was just trying to make some moves just to please Ronald the Clown. I feel bad for Papa Roach, especially when their number one song was ruined by Ronald the Clown. It’s clear that what Ronald touches, he either: 1. Breaks it into a million pieces 2. Makes the song look like his own “Great song” when it’s trashed. 3. Goes on a rampage thinking that his songs are way better than the original cover. 4. Whines like a little baby when he gets called out for his crappy covers. At this point, Ronnie shouldn’t have just made a band in the first place, he should’ve just stayed solo where he belongs.

FIR absolutely butchered Last Resort! I know Jacoby likes it, but all of the anger, desperation, pain, and hopelessness that are infused in the very personal lyrics have been completely stripped. I don't think a slowed down cover of a fast, aggressive song HAS to be bad. Gary Jules' cover of 'Mad World' and Type O Negative's cover of 'Paranoid' are proof enough of that as far as I'm concerned. Metallica also did a slowed down version of their own 'Blackened' during the pandemic sessions that worked surprisingly well. But between Five Finger Death Punch's cover of 'Gone Away' and whatever that Falling in Reverse cover of 'Last Resort' was supposed to be, maybe we need to retire the concept for a little while.

That Ronnie cover of Last Resort is so awful. But I will say this. Jacoby is a big influence on Ronnie apparently. So before the song dropped Ronnie wanted to show Jacoby the tune and he was literally shaking in excitement, and anxiety. And to show you what a stand-up guy Jacoby is, he listened, had a huge smile on his face the whole time and just gave Ronnie nothing but praise and his blessing for the cover. There’s videos of it on the net, not hard to find. But that whole thing really humanized Radke because it showed that even a rockstar gets nervous when around an even BIGGER rockstar. And, the video showcased, once again, that Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach is the fuc*ing GOAT, man. He’s just the best. P Roach has been around for over 30 years and no one seems to have a bad word to say about them. Even in their crazy/insane tours when Infest came out, and the band was just out of their fucking minds every night (especially Jacoby), never a bad word about them. They’re down to earth doods, their music evolves and is sick, and they always bring it when they play live. Seriously one of the best AND most consistent live bands ever. Cheers!

I'm definitely not a Radke fan.... But I felt he did a great job at that. Took it a different direction. My Wife loves PaPa Roach. She doesn't know much about Falling In Reverse. But she often plays this version because she feels it added another layer to a song she holds close to her heart.

that pantera cover by fall out boy was more than they bargained for

Weezer covering No Scrubs has the energy of punching yourself in the face and hoping it damages your opponent. The only damage done is emotional.

Notice the sheet music on stands in front of Robert and Kirk? Yeah, that wasn't a rehearsed performance, they were live reading a song neither of them had ever played before. This is known to be a thing they did. Reporting it as a "bad cover" is borderline negligence.

If you think 311’s Self Esteem is bad, The Offspring’s cover of Down is even worse

Down, as in Stone Temple Pilots Down?

@@ThesharkStrangler i don't even know who 311 is, so i'd probably like Offspring versionvmore just becase its the Offspring *edit after listening* 311 sound like if an AI was trying to recreate a cross between Third Eye Blind and STP doing imitation of The Offspring themselves

Nicer way of putting it is 311 as a band already sound like they are doing a bad Offspring cover

To be fair, Motley Crues cover of 'Anarchy in the UK' was atrocious, too

I kept on seeing people talk about Nickelback, so I thought it was going to be "Saturday Night For Fighting". Yeah I can see why "Devil Went Down To Georgia" be on here.

Meanwhile I'd say their cover of Dirty Laundry is pretty good

Yeah the no scrubs cover is pretty awkward. My least favorite was paranoid though. Just sounded like Rivers trying to do an Ozzy impression 🤷🏼♂️

I'm a big 311 fan and yeah that self esteem cover wasn't great. They did a co-headline tour with the Offspring and each did a cover of one the other's hit songs so I think it was just thrown together super quickly as a tour promotion, it wasn't on an album or anything. The Offspring covered Down.

I’m happy M5 is finally getting knocked down a few pegs. They stopped being decent when Adam took full control rather than a band.
