Growing up in Post 9/11 Bush’s America (I was 13 when it happened), listening to Anti-Flag make me realize that people still give a shit about free speech and being a positive force of good.

When in reality, these guys are the only ones pushing true patriotism for a better America for all. The powers that be label it as such because it goes against their corrupt scheme.

At 26 in 2020 during the George Floyd/police brutality Donald Trump protests, I realized that Anti-Flag was always right. This is New York burning. This is Boston burning. This is Omaha burning. Doesn't seem overproduced to me. I've seen this critique about American Attr. and 20/20, and i can somehow see the point there with being "not what punk is supposed to sound like". Imo it's not a very good argument tho, and seems to me more like people just want to say "they don't sound like they used to!". But the way born to run sounds, reminds me more of general strike, which sounded pretty "real" to me.
