As long as freedom of choice is considered, any form of barbarity shouldn't be promoted, taking advantage of that.. After all, we do everything for a reason.. We wear clothes for a reason too(example: firefighters, school students, police officers all have a defined dress code/uniform, similarly, we wear sweaters in the winter, avoid synthetic clothes while being close to a fire) .. I ain't saying nudity is freedom while modesty is not. If someone wears a jacket during summer, it's obvious that people would question him.. Thus, if any girl wears a burqah, the reason to uphold her choice would be.. "to protect herself from the gaze of males" ,which is itself a very very poor, disgraceful, non sense and an utter embarrassment towards the culture of our country.. So yesterday we were discussing whatever is going on in Iran. I come from a shia family. my parents lived in Iran for 7 years (for study purpose). My mother practices full hijab same goes with my sisters. They get extremely uncomfortable without that. We were discussing the incident and when my mom came to know about Amini's death the first sentence she uttered was "Zabardasti hai kya? Nahi kar rahi hijaab to maardogey kya? Jisko nahi karna usko waise rehne do, ye maarkaat to ghalat hai, Ye to badtameezi hai police ki" I was shell shocked i hadn't expected my Orthodox mom to say that. I was relieved to hear this from her. Freedom of choice should never be killed.

I completely agree with you. Freedom of choice must be given to everyone irrespective of gender and age too. According to me we need to educate male community to make them understand the meaning of equality. They should accept and conditioned their thinking accordingly. They should learn to consider women as a human being just like male. There is no difference between both of them. And women should start thinking in the same way and start behaving like equal.

Personally feel there must be reforms that allow people to have the freedom of choice of their clothing. Just a thought why can't a KZbinr be recognised for educating millions. The medium of knowledge and education may be different in person to person. If wish we see these changes and I won't be surprised if Dhru is invited by the President (perhaps by many president's). I was thinking about the same thing today. Many bjp supporters were mocking hijab protests that happened in India by comparing it to Iran. The main problem is not hijab but the govt trying to enforce something forcefully. You cannot forcefully make women wear hijab or you cannot forcefully make women not wear hijab. It has to be their choice. Their freedom of choice must be respected. 🙏

FYI Authorities didn't prohibit hijab only they have also prohibited all kind of dress code apart then school uniform including saffron cloth around neck no one is restricting any one to wear hijab in India they are just imposing equal uniform in certain school or institution.

Thank you for pointing this topic.and about India also.we are two sisters my sister likes to wear hijab.she goes college wearing hijab and I don't prefer wearing hijab so I don't and our parents are both happy whatever we wear. This type of mentality should be preferred by our govt. Basically the govt or anyone shouldn't force us to wear according to them. It's just we womens and girls want our freedom to wear and express.
