I loved the anime, and have watched it many times. I will whole heartily agree with our description. For someone of a young mind it could be viewed as a mind fuck but to people like you, it was more in-death because you have ether more real world experience or more anime knowledge. Paul Mitchell er, no I mean the plot is generally very simple and straightforward. I saw it as a kid and it wasn't that hard to understand. It's not like it's serial experiments lain or anything.
