PBPs don't inhibit trans peptidation, instead penicillins bind to them & trans Peptidation is inhibited.. Because PBPs are themselves transpeptidases & help in cell wall synthesis. Bolne me shayad ghalati se hua apse. By the way, very clear & helpful,😍 thank you so much❤👌👍

Can we give both bacteriostatic & bactericidal drug together?

The bacteriostatic drugs are given to stop the growth of bacteria & then the body's immune system kills the remaining bacteria. But when the immune system is weak (immunocompromised patients) or the bacteria is highly infectious or virulent, then arises the need to give bacteriocidal drugs, and bacteriocidal drugs act efficiently on rapidly multiplying bacteria, so if we combine them with bacteriostatic, the multiplication of bacteria will stop. So as a result, we should not give bacteriostatic with bacteriocidal. Hope it helps:)
