Hey Friends,
Antibiotics are a specific type of medicine directed against bacteria. Penicillin was the first available antibiotic on the market. There are multiple antibiotics such as Beta Lactams, Tetracycline or Rifamycin. All have different mechanisms of action. The overuse of antibiotics can promote mutations in the bacterial genome. When the mutation alters the protein structure of one of the antibiotic targets (enzymes e.g. Transpeptidase) by chance this can lead to antibiotic resistance. Multiresistent germs are extremely dangerous and we have to find new antibiotics to prevent to fight them but also be more responsible with the antibiotics we have!
Best
Henrik

I have never taken an antibiotic . I’ve always used superfoods etc to boost my immune system. Im sure I will need antibiotics at some point. It’s important to boost your immune system by eating as natural as possible, exercise and sleep ( not over sleep though unless you r sick. This has kept me from getting sick or if I am sick, it’s not long. I also take a multivitamin every day. My mom was a vitamin believer and always gave us a multivitamin every day. My brothers and parents were pretty healthy . I am blessed and hopefully can help other people with this info. I believe in antibiotics if they r needed. Bacteria infections r no joke.

Good overall explanation, however please may I suggest an edit. Antibiotics make bacteria unstable not instable. This is the action that kills or severely disrupts bacterial proliferation.

Great video! 💯 I'm just wondering whether cell wall synthesis disrupting antibiotics work on gram negative bacteria which have another layer of protection outside their cell wall. Also do you know, how do bacteria take up antibiotics that target their protein synthesis? 🤔
@madelineanabella6400
@madelineanabella6400 5 ай бұрын
That’s what I’m wondering also. They say by 2050 if there r not advancements 10 million people will die a year from infection because bacteria 🦠 has evolved to get past antibiotics.

If antibiotic does not work against viruses why doctor prescribe it for viral fever
@henrikslab
@henrikslab Жыл бұрын
www.healthline.com/health/viral-fever#treatment This is very likely wrong of the doctor. If at all, viral fever should be treated in severe cases with antivirals (e.g. Tamiflu). Antibiotics should not be prescribed in case there is no bacterial infection.
