@skullpull 101 - What? Socialism is literally defined as distributing the means of production to the people. The laborers are the true owners of economy. Without them, economies could not exist. Workers have always been the foundation of a functioning society, not government or corporations. Yet the latter 2 seem to have inculcated the masses into believing that the value of their work is much less than its actual worth, which allows corporations to take the majority of the income away from those who actually created that wealth. Unchecked capitalism allows them to exploit the many to enrich the few. Both Socialism and Capitalism can be combined to create mixed economies that put the interests of the people first----these are called Social Democracies. You can find these countries consistently ranked in the top 10 for education, job security, health, economic stability, etc. You'll also find them constantly mentioned in the Forbes Lists. If there is any model America should emulate, it's those who embrace social policy. Remember, it was FDR's social programs and tax reform that pulled us out of the Great Depression, built the national interstate highway system, nationwide electric system, revamped the agricultural and manufacturing sectors, expanded unions, increased wage, etc. We even had free college. America had her most prosperous years under his leadership. The people elected him to 4 terms, which forced the GOP to have to enact term limits! Even back then, they tried to game the system to their advantage 😂

Free market capitalism evolved to monopolist capitalism and, espacially in the US, to state-monopolist capitalism, so that the state has no other choice than save 'their' companies. Socialism/Communism is not about no ownership of property. And the state is understood as a necessary evil. Marxism is about getting rid of the state as soon as it's possible.

Fascists and Communists are both on the Left. Both seek government control over the individual through totalitarian means with dictators. Antifa carries on the longstanding battle between the two socialist cousins: Communists vs Fascists. This dates back to 20-30s in Germany. However, the one outstanding difference is that no one openly advocates for fascism here in the US. Like Don Quixote fighting imaginary giants, Antifa fights imaginary fascists. They do resemble the Bolsheviks, whose Hammer and Sickle they carry. The CPUSA does unfortunately still exist, despite the well-documented horror of communism.

That was the original communist manefesto promoted by Vladimir Lenin, and Leon Trotsky who promoted unlimited civil rights and political freedom and state governance to be held by local Soviet workers councils; however, when Stalin took control of the Communist party we all know that the USSR became anything but democratic and liberal choosing to lead and bring order through fear and authority.

Satyam, I understand that under certain interpretations of Marxism, democracy is something which works alongside socialist principles (the anarchist values of Bakunin and the Kronstadt mutiny are two good examples), but this certainly was not the case under Lenin. To have removed and imprisoned the Menshevik Party from the Duma immediately after gaining power and to declare a 'dictatorship of the proletariat' proves this to be the case. As for liberalism, it seems to me that both its cultural and economic underpinnings are completely antithetical to Marxist principle.

@Vi M, Hate speech, the primary form of speech that is prevalent in many supremacist organizations and rallies, is NOT protected by the 1st Amendment. There is no exception to it, don't even try to argue it unless you have some sort of professional expertise concerning such. And, despite you seeming well versed enough to know and understand this, I will elucidate that the 1st Amendment only protects you from being incarcerated by the police or government (as long as it's within certain guidelines). BRICS is not powerful at all. Since its inception all BRICS countries except for India and China have had decreased GDP growth each year. The Russian economic recession hit them hard. South Africa's anti white racist policies have hurt their economy and they are not even growing. Brazil has huge problems and is not growing as much as it should. India's recent reforms have dipped their economic growth to 5.7% currently as of last reports. China's growth is slowing down as well. When BRICS was announced all its members had good economies with good economic outlook. Since then all except India and China have seen very low growth and many problems arise. BRICS is not at all powerful. They are not a cohesive force, they do not have much joint policies, they do not influence the global economy with a collective policy because only 2 of its member states have any growth to speak of. BRICS is an economic bloc of sorts but is too relient on the west, US and EU, trade to actually rival them. The BRICS nations hat tried to go head to head with the EU and US are facing deficits, like Russia. BRICS is not very powerful at all.

Chase That might be guilt because this was as unbiased as you'll ever see. You can read the Anarchist literature and find that the claims made in this video are accurate. You can read through mainstream history and find the same thing. You just can't go to actual Fascists and sympathizers of Fascism to receive such honesty. The presence of some fascist principles, such as shutting down opposition and a strongly regimented social system/economy cannot be labelled as a horrific, totalitarian dictatorship. It must be said that in any large-scale organized human society, these aspects will be present, to varying degrees. The United States is not fascist, as the president cannot impose his will in a totalitarian manner. I feel that many Antifa supporters just want something to get angry about. This video has cause and effect backwards. The Anti-facscists name and logo is on the Communist Party Headquarters building in Berlin in 1926. These Communists tried to overthrow the Weimar Democracy TWICE in 1919 and 1920 before Hitler tried in 1923. The had their own militias and thugs silencing their political opponents in the early '20's. Antifa has always hidden behind a clever name, but have always stood for violent Communist Revolution. The Fascists were a reaction to an international revolutionary Communist movement sponsored by Russia, not the other way around.
