Since the 2016 presidential election, Antifa (short for "anti-fascist") has become a staple at right-wing rallies. The faceless, leaderless group stretches across North America and Europe -- and they aren't afraid to incite violence. WATCH NEXT: Inside America’s Largest Right Wing Militia - bit.ly/2glqlan

Enough is enough. Ahmaud Arbery was a black man shot dead while he was jogging. Antifa is the answer because countless peaceful protests lead to nowhere. Radical change for the good is better than radical groups supporting divisive, gun-wielding, largely low educated extremists. Both sides are so brainwashed and don’t have an opinion of their own. They are actually followers. You know it’s kinda funny they said they aren’t about violence but you always see them laying a hand on someone…. Violence usually isn’t the solution, but at least be honest that you are for violence and stop trying to make yourself feel better, own up to what you believe in and stand for. 🤷♀️

The Right in politics renounces their crazies (the Manipulative Media doesn't seem to report that). We on the Left are endorsing them. Is it any wonder Trump is winning? I'm not American, I'm Australian (by immigration), but that's what I see. Trump has exposed the hatred and racist double standards of my own group. Ryan steele It's useless to quote that and put it outside of their context, they have well explained how they are looking at the situation. There are many people, greeks philosopher, painter, writter, and they all were against war but if the painting and the music and the philosophal thing have been able to be that evolved, that peaceful and now they are against all form of violence it was only because at one certain point their countries were dominant and heavyli armed. Their peaceful will have seen the day "because of wars" / "thanks to wars". That is not a nonsense, if someone try to lead and grow by being aggressive, violent, making people around being scary, and if the government do nothing against them then the only possible option might be the violence, may you hate it or love it, it might be the only possible option to stop that. So yes, you can be violent and sometimes you could even NEED to be violent in order to live in peace and that, even if you hate violence.

First, because they are fully involved in what they do, emotionally and psychologically, and they feel true passion regarding their purpose. Second, they must feel deep sorrow, given that their role as Antifa has a very tragic side to it; they go through constant fear, violence, hatred, rejection and solitude, which may seem unjust given that they are fighting for a legit good cause: against fascism. I am sure all that is very hard to deal with.
@jabibgalt55515 жыл бұрын
@Andrew Christopher Fascism is the arbitrary use of violence against peaceful individuals based on motives of nationality and race. Antifa is a movement against that. So, what's wrong with it? You are based on a fallacy of generalization. You are assuming that all people involved in Antifa are the same. But chances and probability are against you. People's characteristics and attributes can be combined endlessly. There are all sorts of people. But the only thing they all share for sure, is their rejection towards fascism. Fascism is hell, man; that is a fact. It is violence and blood. So it is understandable when people get violent against those who promote fascism. Wouldn't you get mad at a bunch of people on the street promoting pedophilia? Sorry you don't get to promote fascism in a peaceful way? Of course not, you don't get to promote violence in a peaceful way. Antifa is the reaction from people against fascist propaganda. They've increased polarization. That's an accomplishment as it sets the scene for the physical divisions and unrest to come. (Most of) Urban America is becoming increasingly leftist and liberal, meanwhile (most of) Rural America is becoming increasingly rightist and conservative. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. 2020 should have been a red-flag, not the protests, but the riots that followed them had a far larger spread domestically (and internationally) than in '68 and '92, as the white population continues to decline and minorities make up a larger proportion of Americans. Whites themselves are posed to become a minority by 2045, and given their declining birth rates, this projection is quite likely. Both, the far-left and far-right have become more popular thanks to their rapid spread online, and both appear to be calling their supporters to arms, but for now, only a minority have done so. Thankfully, at the moment, it's mostly just a bunch of foolish adolescents who have nothing better to do, and are just looking for a life purpose even if its petty violence. But once the new generation of political extremists in America matures and grows up, only to be more radical than the last, it's bound to get worse from there on-wards.

This is how all black bloc groups are - they are the folks who come in to wreck stuff and start riots. They will make peaceful protest violent - no political ties at all they just want to cause chaos. This documentary did very poorly in showing what they actually are because this one small group co-opted it. Often times they are agent provocateurs hired by police - they were caught out in a G8 summit protest once - one of them was an on duty officer to start riots because a riot will turn the attention away from what the protest was about and the news will then focus on the riot.

@Mrbg1232 жыл бұрын
@@opforjr4784 “the far left” and “the far right” are very diverse concepts. There are some on the far left like stalinists who would share a lot of authoritarian ideas with neo-nazis, but others on the far left such as anarcho-communists would be completely against any nazi ideology. Some on the far left and right share ideas but many on the far left and right couldn’t be more opposed to each other. "Those who make non-violent revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable." - JFK and MLK 1999 Memphis court case proved the USG killed MLK. Nazis get the gallows. Nazis are anti-American, against the Constitution, and break all the National, International laws and norms, all common conceptions of right and wrong in every society. The FBI work with neo-Nazis, the KKK, Costra Nostra, etc. that's been proven, research the 1975 Church Committee Senate Hearings in the Library of Congress. Fred Hampton was getting street gangs to stop fighting and the FBI brutally, conspired, poisoned and murdered him next to his pregnant fiance. Thankfully a movie is finally coming out about him next year. The FBI probably bombed Judi Bari in the 1990s as well. Her family did win a court case as well. Geronimo Pratt won his court case too years later after being in prison and solitary for many years. CISPES and many others proved beyond all reason of a doubt on the official record, straight from the horse's mouth the USG are not legitimate. Recall Jefferson. Any REAL militia would have protected the Panthers, AIM, SDS, etc. in the '60s and '70s, but they "lie, cheat and steal" so they were no where to be found but in the offices of the tyrants aiding the Domestic terrorists, breaking their oath, destroying freedom, democracy and America. The way to stop these losers is to debate them and prove them wrong before an audience, thus exposing them and neutering any BS hateful "logic" they spew. "They" probably killed Thomas Merton too, whom KIng, Jr. nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. The Merton Center were labeled pacifists by the FBI and monitored and harassed illegally. The FBI labeled the SCLC a hate group. Where's the truth tellers? The truth is out there it's in the archives, see to it no one leaves campus without knowing the truth. Who will bell the cat? It’s very important to understand what fascism actually is before embarking on anti-fascist action, it’s not just racism or even an aspiration for genocide, those are historically characteristics of imperialism and fascism is a form of imperialism denoting a specific relationship between the state, the economy, external territory, the majority population and the minority populations. It’s an effective apparatus for state genocide, the concentration of power, aggressive expansion and suppression of conflicting ideas. I’m an anti-fascist, and I don’t have NAZIs to fight in the streets where I live and I plan to keep it that way by fighting the conditions that create fascist sentiment and I think the effort in the states can still concentrate on that as well as targeting more strongly actual NAZIs rather than the Alt-right as a whole.

Socialism is embedded so deeply in the fabric of American life that most people don't even recognize it or know where it came from anymore. And that's no accident. We've been conditioned to believe that Socialism equals the brutality of Stalin and oppression under the USSR, when the most socialist labor unions in the US refused to follow the "party line" of the Soviets. And for those who point to the USSR, China (which ain't even communist), North Korea, Cuba, etc, as 'examples of why Socialism can't work'? Anarchists are also opposed to State Socialism for all the reasons exemplified by these cases. And this comes to the broader point... A lot of people here clearly have no idea what "Left" means. For starters, Liberals, Progressives, and Democrats aren't on the "left", we've just been brainwashed in the US to conceive of the political spectrum in a way that is completely a-historical. "The Left", while it does encompass its own spectrum, universally adheres to two basic principles; it is Socialist/Anti-Capitalist and it is pro-Worker/Labor/Union. Liberals, Progressives, and Democrats, by definition are on the Right. Why? Because all of these political groups are either outright Capitalist or think that you can reform Capitalism to make it more humane. To be a Leftist means accepting that the only way to escape the oppressive structures that are intrinsic to Capitalism is to completely overthrow the Capitalist order, and not just locally but globally, because all workers must be united in class solidarity, regardless of nationality, and because Capitalism will always work to interfere in other nations because it requires Imperialism to sustain itself. Separate but related, a lot of people here clearly don't seem to understand what Anarchism (or Libertarian Socialism) is, either. Nor do they seem to understand its relationship to Antifa. First of all, most of us in the US have been brainwashed to believe that Anarchism is synonymous with "chaos" and disorder. It truth, Anarchism is a Socialist political philosophy that has been around for about two centuries and has within itself many different competing ideas. And quite to the contrary of advocating for "chaos", Anarchism simply holds that coercion is wrong, that all states rule by coercion and violence, and therefore states are a barrier to freedom rather than its guarantor. Anarchism requires a high degree of organization (for example the principles of "mutual aid" and "self-organization"), but it opposes hierarchies, typically favoring either direct Democracy (instead of the corruption-prone Representative Democracy), or rule by unanimous consent. Anarchism is, again, a Socialist philosophy that is first and foremost non-coercive, anti-Statist, pro-union/labor, and anti-imperialist. It's also anti-war, except in cases of self defense, because all wars pit working class people against one another to serve the interest of an rich and corrupt elite. Antifa is not a club you can join or a political movement, or even an ideology. Antifa is simply an expression of Leftists self-organizing to defend themselves. To call it an ideology is to miss the point. The Left has numerous ideologies and Antifa is simply a shorthand way of saying 'groups of Leftists defending themselves and their communities'. "But they break things!" you say? Once you understand how Capitalism works you start to understand that we are all living under a constant state of violence; violence towards our privacy, towards our choices, towards our right to ask questions of our "leaders", towards our bodies, and for some groups even towards their existence. When the right is violent it's mostly expressed through people in uniform murdering poor people in the US and abroad. This expression of Right Wing/Capitalist/Statist violence is given the veneer of legitimacy because its agents wear flags and badges, and 'because we can control them with our votes' (you're kidding yourself if you think your votes have any impact on the Military Industrial Complex). "Far Right" groups are actually nothing compared to the violence of the state, but we are socially conditioned to see "radical" groups as the problem, instead of simply being the inevitable expressions of the inherently racist and violent State. In other words, the Capitalist State (and some would argue all states) is an inherently right wing entity. However when working people get together to peaceably assemble and demand their rights they are routinely ignored, beaten, or murdered by the state. When working people are oppressed and pushed far enough to where they finally fight back against the state, using a very limited number of the same tools that white supremacists and state forces use to oppress them, then they are called "terrorists", "traitors", and "Socialists". Never mind that you can thank American Anarchists and Socialists for bringing you child labor laws, workplace safety regulations, the 40 hour work week, holidays, Social Security, and pretty much every protection for working class people in modern US history since the late 1800's. Look up the "Haymarket Affair", Eugene Debs, and the Industrial Workers of the World. Look up the "First Red Scare", where the US Government and oligarchs effectively teamed up to villainize and crush Socialism in the US, after American Socialists peacefully protested against the US draft in World War One. Why? Because a threat to the business of war (a primary business engine of Capitalism) could not be allowed to take root in American society. And it's no coincidence that Martin Luther King Jr. was murdered decades later (almost certainly by J. Edgar Hoover's FBI after their endless harassment) when he expanded his focus from Civil Rights for the black community to include economic justice for poor people and opposition to the Vietnam War. Again, King was an open critic of Capitalism and a Democratic Socialist, something we never hear in school and for reasons that should now be all too clear.

I'm not a republican, but what they're doing really isn't helping, why aren't they out there in the woods or small towns where actual nazis meet? It's not too hard to find them, so why don't they do something about that instead of dividing the country even more by claiming 80 million people are nazis? @Sage Draws do they actually fight fascism or is it just something they say? Rather, is someone a fascist because they said so? That's the problem fascism is such a microscopic problem today, almost no one nowhere are fascists, but a just as dangerous movement does have a lot of followers, far left extremism, I'm more afraid of that than far right extremism because many more people think positively or neutral about left wing extremism and so I can see it get a lot further than fascism today, there isn't the same stigma/taboo on that as there is on fascism even though it has killed more people and ruined the lives of many times more people. But the main point is, terror in a self described good course is still terror, they aren't officially fighting fascists just like antifa isn't actually fighting real neo nazis, they label someone a fascist or nazi and they commit violence towards them while hurting everyone and everything in their way (not defending fascism here, they did the same on a larger scale), so I can't see how their actions are justified
