It does seem like there is never ending work and repairs on a boat. You've done a lot of work yourself. Much respect. Stay well and happy. ⛵

Good stuff as always. Chain plates look strong! I know Arthur has his own channel, but I miss those little King Arthur segments in the middle of the episode. It was just cute and unique.

Nice to catch up with friends. Arthur looked like he was ready to jump ship for the Valhalla.

I don't know what it is but there is always something more to fix on a sailboat!! I'm a liveaboard on mine also and I can never get all my projects done before a bunch more show up!!! Good luck with yours!!!

I do enjoy your DIY repair work and can-do spirit! Nicely done. Regarding the davit structure, you may want to consider an additional strut aft on each side to take some of the compression loading from the weight of the dinghy. You can mount those struts near the end of each arm (close to the pulley blocks) and then down to the transom. This will relieve the stresses where the davit bends in the arm, which is the weakest part.

I love your channel. I noticed you are using a tablet to navigate instead of your plotter. My GPS antenna went bad and will cost as much as my old plotter is worth to fix. I was thinking about going with just a tablet and a handheld GPS as a backup. I am running Navionics on the tablet. Do you have any thoughts, recommendations, or advice? Thanks and safe sailing.

Do your friends on Valhallah have a KZbin channel or Instagram page? I’m curious to know more about their boat.

slide a smaller pipe inside, drill a few holes and then weld inside pipe to outside pipe and weld hole. I can only guess your dingy is way over limits for davit. Lots of bending going on. What you think???

If the welder is any good the new welds should be the strongest part

Why was Kelly walking with a lock right knee at 12:27? Hope it wasn't a serious injury.
