I'm trying the 8.5 antihero easy rider, aces, 54 f4s. Mellow concave and long tail was an adjustment, but I'm getting used to it

@@davidhall8656 those easy riders are sick I’d definitely give one a try! sounds like a solid setup! 🤙

i have the grimple stix cardiel on the 'huffer' shape, like a '92 football/egg. i think it's 9.12 or 9.18, something like that, but it has the tapered nose like that. probably the same shape just with a straighter rail?
@ETANGSKATES5 ай бұрын
I saw a video on that shape recently it’s basically a smaller version! Egg nose regular tail with a pretty straight rail. It’s the perfect board to ween myself off of the egg/football shaped decks!

@@ETANGSKATES i have mostly small popsicles 8-8.25" but trending bigger, i like to keep at least one big shaped setup too 9"+

@@diplenskiI get that I always have my main setup that works for most tricks ranging from 8.38-8.8 then a big board for parks and curbs 🤙

@@ETANGSKATES i get completes from fb marketplace sometimes, and i've skated since the '80s so i'm pretty flexible for size/shape. but the bigger boards are just so comfortable underfoot and fun to ride it makes me wonder why i rode such small boards for so long

@@diplenski You’re a legend man! And nothing is better than cruising a nice big board also there’s something to be said about the older shapes skating better on transition! Keep shredding 🤙

How do you like the janoskis?
@ETANGSKATES5 ай бұрын
@@neilgarnham they are awesome they look like the ones from way back when they first came out but they changed somethings like sole and give you two pairs of insoles. They are solid suede tho. i will have to do a review on them! I rolled my ankle so badly in them when I first got them and I just thought its because they had zero ankle support/protection I still skated them after I healed up and now they are super broken in and skating super nice. The soles are great

That crook was all you, you just weren’t leaning over the ledge

idk man that shape looks fucked for crooks
@minirodkustom7905 ай бұрын
That's why it looks like to me as well, I have one of these boards too and it's a mental thing to stand up on the crook cause it feels like you'll catch your heel. It takes a bit of commitment then it'll come good
@ETANGSKATES5 ай бұрын
It’s definitely on me! I’ve been struggling with this crook for a while and the different nose shape is something to get used to I’ll take any advice I can get. I’m hoping next time I try on this specific ledge I’ll have better luck staying over it. ✌️
@minirodkustom7905 ай бұрын
@@ETANGSKATES I ended up changing front foot position to more pointed towards nose and heel inboard towards bolts to tuck the heel in an that helped me out but it's a hard deck for crooks and nose slides, I've actually put it back to my transition setup now for that reason
@ETANGSKATES5 ай бұрын
@@minirodkustom790 I’m hoping maybe by changing wheel shape and size it could do something. But yeah if it still gives me problems I’m going to bring an old popsicle to try and see if there’s an obvious difference! This board rips for skating most tricks it was really just something i noticed for the first few sessions im starting to get more used to it
