17 minutes melted away. Not only are your videos packed with the best flatground skating, the commentary, explanations, editing and high-quality video make me come back for more and more. It's all remarkable and we all wish you endless successes in all you do.

Well said. Couldn't agree more. I don't even particularly care for skateboarding but stumbled on one of his vids last week and he's quickly become a mainstay in my subs. Always a fan and fascinated by watching a person that is incredibly passionate about something (and usually a master of it too), great way to get into new hobbies and expand horizons

You inspired me to go out and buy myself a skateboard for the first time in 14 years. It's been incredible relearning everything, and also surprising how real muscle memory can be. That said a week in and I broke two toes so im watching this with ice on my foot lol. I love your positive energy in all your videos and often have them on in the background while practicing guitar or stretching. Thanks for rekindling my spirit for skating and all the awesome stuff you share with us!

The guy who created the RICE method came out in 2013 and stated he was wrong.....icing an injury prolongs the recovery rate.
@Stivarius8 ай бұрын
@@keysersoze2313 he's not wrong, ice can be very counterproductive after the second day post injury. blood flow is the most important thing. but at the time I needed the swelling to go down enough to fit my foot into my shoe lol

*720 Front foot imossible with back foot late flip* (with body varial is easier) not as hard as youd think..just need decent hops.. i learned it by accident trying to do my first kick flip in 1992... you can also reverse the rotaion of the 720 when u late flip it, to get late 180 flip. Just need to get the hang of the centrifugal force. It feels like a hospital flip that you really kick out wide and whip the board back towards you spinning the board from centrifugal force...a little bit like stirring a drink or spinning a baton.. its also super easy to rail transition because the centrifugal force makes the board "stick" to your foot and allow you to kind of "drag" the board behind you through the air. Sounds crazy but actually super easy once you get the hang of centrifugal force. Literally becomes like 2nd nature to stomp out its so much easier than you think. Again, i learned it trying to figure out a simple kick flip. In '92 you kind of had to figure out tricks on your own based on only seeing them a few times

Do it bro! Youre our only hope!

Disclaimer: i worked in a skate shop and learned the trick with out wheels on the carpet floor first. Hours of screwing around pulling decks off the wall... i didnt start calljng it a front foot impossible til 2005ish. Couldn't figure out what to call it. Casper 720 no, 720 front foot hospital etc.. didnt know what to call it. Had no idea rodney mullen did it back in 90s until i googled it like 5 yrs ago

@patdee52398 ай бұрын
Hey Jonny, thanks for the awesome content, man. I believe you are one of the most talented flat ground skaters in the world. I personally liked the video documenting your journey to land what was originally dubbed "the well hardflip" in the original THPS video game (monster flip in modern skate vernacular). I have only seen a hand full of people pull that trick off. Actually I saw an episode of physics girl where they broke down the trick and explained why it was so difficult from a physics standpoint. Then, literally a week after watching that video, you released a video landing the trick, haha.
