I think you will get the new card stock because there was a long period where I noticed that the deck was not in stock on Amazon. I think it was due to restocking the new decks? I hope so! Let me know if you and your friend get the new card stock!

I wish the new cardstock kept the old not so saturated illustrations. I just feel the vibe of this deck visually was so lovely on the old cards. My unpopular opinion, lol. I have this in my b&n cart so I am still on the fence. Great video!

Oh I liked this deck when I first saw it but because everyone was talking about the horrible cardstock I didn't think of getting it, I didn't know there was a new edition, that's so cool!! Thank you for showing! Love skulls!

I realize this is an old video but I just wanted to comment. I would love to have one of the original decks. I myself need thin card stock. 😊 I have small hands, and now my thumb on my right hand, gives me issues. Thank you for a great review.

Thank you Bonnie 😊 I had ordered 2 copies of this one in June 2020 and one in July 2020. I had no idea they had upgraded the cardstock. I just saw a review on Amazon that was from Sept. 2021 and someone said it was upgraded. I only opened one of mine so i probably got the crappy cardstock on both. I have the one unopened put away so i will have to check but i think i might just order another because i was so disappointed in the cardstock. So thank you so much ! You’re welcome! I just want to add that the upgraded cardstock is not premium. It’s not as good as a U.S. Games cardstock. It still has that same papery feel to it, but it has a little more heft to it and it’s t as fragile as the original. I don’t know if they have tried to improve the cardstock any further. I don’t think this publishing company has a lot of experience with publishing decks.

Yesss! And I’ve had the Arcana of Astrology for a little bit. I haven’t worked with it in depth yet. I got my copy from Amazon, but I have seen it in my local bookstore!

I missed out on the indie version too. Buy the time I could buy, I could only find one of the packs and I think it came in 3. Do you have her Memento Mori Oracle? She is going to be putting a couple of extension packs up for sale on her website at the end of the month.

I have this same card deck, I loved it so much, but disappointed with the card deck. So I was thinking if I can find the one with better card stock, I’ll use the other one’s, maybe to frame them.

I have 3 copies of this deck! I’ll keep one as a backup and I think I will do a little mixed media work with the third. I think all retailers should have the upgraded card stock by now.

Hmm...I would think a big retailer like Walmart would have the new version, but I just watched someone’s video about watching for counterfeit decks and they mentioned that sometimes Walmart was guilty of it. Maybe you could try it and if it’s not the new card stock, you could return it. Walmart usually has a good return policy.

I found out a few months ago listening to an interview with Claire Goodchild on the Wildly Tarot Podcast! Since then, I’ve kept buying copies hoping that I would get the new card stock! Finally, I got one! I think I’m going to use one of my extra copies for an art project.

Is the ISBN number for the old and new decks different Bonnie?

No, they are the same! The only difference is the slight weight increase in the new box and the ever-so-slight difference in the box coloration. Of course, it’s hard to compare unless you had the two next to each other. Standing in the bookstore, I did feel the difference in weight holding the box.

I would assume so, but I purchased my copy with the new card stock from Barnes and Noble. If I had to bet money on it, I would say yes.

Heck yes!!!! I think I know what I’m going to do with one of my extra decks...I’m going to add some collage art onto the deck like Michelle from Boho Tarot! She has a video on her channel of her process. The deck turned out fantastic!
