I’m so happy to see that Richard rescued this. We are losing our history of this country and it’s nice to see someone caring about the past. 😊

Thank you, Michael, for calling out less-than-thoughtful shoppers. I am the vendor, at around the 8-minute mark, whose booth had the toys strewn on the floor. I love vintage toys, and I do like children, but I don't appreciate the adults who allow their kids to treat my booth as their personal playpen. Grrr. Thanks for the comment and for the visit!

I’d have snatched that projector up in a heartbeat!! But now I think Michael should start a second YT channel where he provides commentaries for old movies. Those western shirts reminded me of the shirts Temple Grandin wore in old pics and in the movie. Many of the displays are really nice, but everything seemed really expensive. Imagine how wondrous that was for folks way back then. Adults and kids! It really must have seemed like magic! With no access to art, and travel being incredibly difficult seeing pictures from all over the world …. Amazing for them. It was super high tech! Thanks for sharing the slides! So fun.

I love the projector and the slides were great. I wish you had picked up the blue bottle missing its stopper with the beautiful raised decorations on it. About 40 years ago when I was in the antique business, the word vintage was mainly associated with old clothes. Any other things were antique if over 50 years old or not antique if less. Didn't have a word for them other than possibly just collectible. Now I find out I'm mid-century.

I used to sell vintage toys in my antique store booth . I would come in and find my toys all over the floor . As I was putting them back on the shelf I went off and yelled, " What do they think these are toys ? Several dealers chimed in saying " Yeah they are ". I learned to arrange them higher on the shelves !

There are antique malls that offer the vintage and antique rather than vintage inspired at better prices. Walking through a maze of new stuff to find a few gems is a waste of my time. I’d rather spend time in true antique/vintage stores that will give me history lessons along the way. Even if I can’t afford it, I will come away enriched.
