Took a short roadtrip to Indianapolis, In., stopping at this amazing Antique Fan Museum. It was one of the BEST vintage fan museum's I have ever been to! Its a must visit place if your into old fans, or even newer ones. Toward the end of the video is a bunch of still photos, as I thought you might enjoy seeing them, plus the work shop where they restore fans.
They have over 600 fans dating back to the early 1800's. Every brand and type of fan known to mankind. GE, Westinghouse, Emerson, Zero, Eskimo, Vornado, car fans, ceiling fans, wall mount fans, you name it, it was there. They even restore fans, plus I show the workshop also.
The fan museum is located at; 10983 Bennett Parkway Zionsville, IN., 46077. There hours are Monday through Friday 10am to 4pm or by appointment by calling 317-733-4113. Fanimation designs fans, they do not produce them.

All I can say is WOW! The collection of fans is amazing, glad you stopped here and brought us along. I have bought and rescued many fans and display them in my home home in the summer months and use some of them. What great build quality, and imagine they are still working today. Thank you!

As a “fan fanatic”, I could spends days there and not get tired of exploring! Our “family fan” in the 1950’s was a Manning-Bowman box fan. 3 speeds. Gray. Sounded like a prop airplane taking off!

I was there two and a half hours..... thinking I might be there 30 minutes...... I could have easily spent another couple hours there. It was a very interesting place.

That’s one place I definitely need to visit in the future. I have a few vintage fans myself, but mainly use them as opposed to just putting them on the shelf to collect dust. Mainly collect vintage washers since that’s my main interest, however fans are another interest of mine.

I use my old fans too..... thats the best part of having them. I rotate them around, as I have around 25 fans and a small house.

It's truly amazing how many examples of fans are in this museum! I was wondering if you were going to find an example of the fan that you restored for Tom. And you did! So many fans! Truly cool!

I was surprised that none of the fans were running, other than the few ceiling fans upstairs. I suppose it is for insurance purposes or avoiding higher electrical bills. But I have to admit I never thought there were so many examples of the house fan! I think the one I was really intrigued with was the rocking chair van! But I'm sure you'd have to really rock fast to get anything out of the fan part! Lol. Again way cool!

@@Martin48964 The guy we were talking to stated they all work. He did run a couple for us. I thought I videoed it, until I saw there was no video of it when I went to edit the video.

The best part was they were all different. I have seen huge collections, but there will be dozens of one type fan. This place had all different fans, maybe a couple there were multi same fans, maybe two or three, but not dozens.
