Great job!!! I actually prefer the full length/long videos compared to the time lapse ones👍🏻

Thanks! Yeah I also like doing them every once in a while, but they also take forever to make and edit so recently I have been doing less of them, but I try and do them every once in a while when I can! Thanks for Watching!

Another great video! Always look forward to seeing a new video wether it is a fan, engine, or engine show. Keep up the good work!

My question is what is the loud background noise in your video? I do like your videos!
@colin_58399 ай бұрын
The background noise is likely either another fan running in the background, or the loud intermittent ones are either the furnace or washing machine. I film these videos in my basement so unfortunately I can't get it super quiet all the time... Glad you enjoy the videos! Thanks for Watching!

I have an Arctic Aire that is almost the exact same as this GE. I wonder how they got away with any patent issues! It runs so smooth though! It was a fun restoration! Good job on yours!
@colin_58399 ай бұрын
Yeah I have seen those before! They're neat fans! They also clean up really well! Thanks for Watching!

Great video! I have this fan but with a GE symbol on it, it has all the same internals. Mine has a slight knocking sound coming from the rotor, do you know what causes that?
@colin_58395 ай бұрын
Thanks! Interesting! I bet a knocking sound is either thrust washers or the bearings are just really worn out. I'd start with replacing the thrust washers though as that's a pretty simple and straight forward thing to do. Thanks for Watching!

I know Alex Rushing from the AFCA Group on facebook. There was a guy on there showing off his GE AOU 12" fan and he said Alex Rushing going to the electrical store. I though he meant Alex RUSHING as in Alex being in a rush to get the electrical.

Hahaha, yeah Alex is an amazing guy who does incredible work! Thanks for Watching!

I have this same fan but with a ge badge on it. The same fan took out the extensor tendon in my right hand due to me holding it by the base and the wing nut being loose. Whoops.
@colin_583910 ай бұрын
Ohh yeah I've seen those! I think they were a slightly later version maybe? Ohh damn that doesn't sound fun! Hope you recovered! Thanks for Watching!
@evanchapmanfanman10 ай бұрын
@@colin_5839 I did get surgery and recovered, I do still have the fan.

Will Lasko come back to their 1990s fans in 2025?
@colin_58396 ай бұрын
Probably not but either way anything Lasko after the early 1980s is complete junk so it doesn't matter to me anyways LOL!
