i purchased an antique brass lamp at a thrift store to restore. i filmed the process of it. i hope you enjoy watching it. i decided to not add much audio to it. consider it an experiment.
Nice job Will. The retro bulb was a nice touch. I love your attention to detail.

I use Nu Finish once-a-year Car Polish, AFTER I polish brass or Chrome up. It keeps it from oxidizing so fast!

Would have been a great help if you had told us what products you were using....

Very nice, Will. Are you going to seal it with anything so it doesn't tarnish?

Good sir, please help me. I recently purchased one with a fixture similar to yours. Hanging and with a knob to adjust angle. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to put the shade on. Remove the whole wire. Please help. 🥺

I do this as a side job, and it is my passion. If you look closely at the end of the base of the socket. You will see threads. You simply screw the shade onto the threaded socket. I don’t like altering my projects, but that’s only if I have to. This particular lamp would require a “fat boy” socket to keep it original. Plus he’s using a 3 way socket; instead of a one way socket. You can tell by the number of clicks it takes to turn it on. They would also use a paddle switch, or a chain switch. It’s a very beautiful lamp, but to answer your question. Just make sure that you have a threaded socket.

I watched for the same reason. Haven't been able to figure it out. I have a lamp like this and got burnt by the bulb when I accidently got too close.
