That was a fun video! I like the scenario you attached to the photo of the man w/ two women by the bridge....hilarious! ❤ My cousin and I do that when we shop too! I love the cat andirons. I would pay that much just because the eyes had a bit of attitude. Sorry about your kitty, Salem. You must have taken very good care of him to make it to 20 years old. I had a beautiful tuxedo cat for 17 years. His name was Willie. My husband always said I paid more attention to the cat than I did to him. (somebody was jealous) Thanks for sharing the shopping trip.....I had fun and didn't even spend a nickel!

Thanks for putting the antique shops there on my radar....Asbury is such a cool town......stop by the Silverball pinball museum if your in the area, its loads of fun you get to play all the antique and classic arcade games on display play as long as you want by paying an hourly rate. I saw quite a few fun concerts at the Stone Pony, the food is great, the srea is really coming back to life. The seaside theamed architecture of the boardwalk buildings is so neat. I'm hoping to get back there someday soon.

Hello from California Scott! I really did enjoy this video. I made it to your part of the country back in April and would like to make it back to do some thrifting. You made me laugh when you pointed yourself out in that old timey pic. I remember when you posted the video after Salem passed away and how sad I felt when I watched it. I always wait for the cat, lol. I lost my long time furry companion, son of a rescued Lhasa Apso, (her name was Suga') his name was Bullseye and he lived to be 16 years old. BTW would love to see more vintage jewelry. Anyway my friend, have a lovely day and thank you for all that you do!

Because professionals will get the head, find up the appropriate arms, and are able to reconstruct the doll. I had a small china baby doll head that I took to a professional who did just that, and then she crocheted a christening gown for it using an antique pattern. It is beautiful, and has sat in my china cabinet for about 40 years.

You're right -- the amount of chrome and art deco in that shop was overwhelming! The hooting owl and chirping crickets at 8:30 really set the mood for those dolls and doll heads. Those antique dolls had very life-like faces, so I can see why some people would find that footage a bit unsettling.

How do you feel about Paint-by-number? I saw a few hanging on the wall in one of the booths. They seemed to be a hot item about 20+ years ago. I remember watching a program (maybe in the 70's?) where a couple of collectors snagged any they could find, & every surface in their 2-story house was covered with them!

Well that was fun! When you looked at the doll heads and played creepy music, did anyone notice the baby doll on the right? Remarkable resemblance to J. Edgar! Some of the jewelry was my favorite and very popular at the time. Two moonglow bracelets. It was fun and I loved the old photo of the girl and her grandma.

What a wonderful antique mall! A wide range of variety of vintage items there. Those poor doll heads. Goodness! How sad! My mom had not sure of the spelling, bilough dolls from childhood. The bodies were in excellent condition. She collected many other kinds of dolls which I have. So I have a soft heartfelt feeling for them. In the jewelry section as you were going by, I spotted pink coral necklace!! I'm sure that was from Hawaii! Not sure what I'd have bought either. I've heard of that stone pony so now I'll have to look it up!! 😂. Thanks for taking us along. Always fun! Take care. Perhaps you should consider another cat.. take care. 🌻🌻🌻

This was real interesting. It’s like it had so many different elements to it. From the creepy doll heads to the great deco lamp and odd pics of people. When you said you wished you had kept the tumblers it reminded me of when I used to sell in the Antique Trader Weekly (before internet). Darn if I didn’t sell all I should have kept! What you said about the fan cracked me up! Your sound effects/music went great. Thanks for another trip. Liked the basket with kittens so much. Asbury Park!! 🙂👍

There was what looked like a pond boat, in front of the cobalt tumblers, that really caught my eye. Those cat andirons were nice! $175.00 seems a bit cheap for them, too. I've seen comparable andirons priced at four figures. Those would've been too tempting for me, at that price. If I had a place to put them, I could have a showroom of antique bridge lamps. It isn't unusual to find them at thrift stores here, and they are usually in the $10.00 range. I like them...just nowhere to put them.

I think maybe that’s his mother who is grinning. And she is looking at her husband who took the picture as they both know that their son will now be cut him out of the will because. They warned him that she is just not with the most prominent family, and they just busted him with her under the bridge, so they are about to drop the hammer.
