Antique monkey wrench restoration. This time I restore a very cute rusty vintage wrench. I love this old hand tool and it was a joy to give it a new life and look.

This is a very old monkey wrench and a lot of people has most certainly used it thru time. I used hard machinery to do the rust removal from the wrench. I used an angel grinder with a hard flaps disc to remove some of the edges on the tool. I created a new handle from an old broken hammer handle. I added some new polished look to this monkey wrench together with some old patina. Old tool meets new school.

I rarely see your hands during your restorations because of the gloves you wear. However, I noticed that you have some not unexpected sores from your metal and woodworking. There is a product called NuSkin which is like a super glue that you can use on those sores to protect them and help them to heal quicker. It stays on the skin and is waterproof. Word of caution, it burns like hell when you first apply it. Waiting impatiently for new videos. Lori Wallace

I have come to the theory that either you were an alchemist who raided the cupboard or a mad scientist with a hobby of going to thrift shops. This style of wrench is popularly known as an Autowrench. Ford included one with every Model T and other cars of the period. Most popular autowrenches have Ford stamped on them.

Only pilot drill the handle, then heat the tang and push it in. No need for epoxy.
