Antique Rusty Axe Restoration

Old rusty axe restoration. I've bought this hatchet online and the eye was broken, so I had to weld it.
Since the axe was already damaged I saw no point into trying to restore it to it's original shape, so I decided to turn it into a short hatchet.
Most of the restoration is rust removal and shaping the hatchet using the angle grinder.

Obviously there are some cases in which you need to wear gloves (hot items). However in most situations it is best to minimize loose/excess clothing to prevent the chances of getting caught in a machine.
