You have a good outlook on life's interruptions. As an only child who had a quiet childhood until I left home, I found it quite challenging to raise 5 children of which 3 of them were under 5 years old, but I did as you are doing. I looked at the small things to find beauty in. Even when you're covered in spit up and poop, smell of spoiled milk, hair not brushed, unable to even get dressed and feel almost overwhelmed you search for those small moments. Good job momma ❤

Beautiful oil lamp! I've collected several, inherited several.. all sizes and colors, a couple of really tiny ones that are precious. I'd love to have one with the little handle like this one! I remember my grandma using them when the per would go out when i was a little girl. That glass jar is a butter churn.. i'd also love to own one of these! I love the oil lamp. I have several in my collection that I put on top of my kitchen cabinets and one was too tall, so I changed the glass chimney out for a shorter one and it works well. Love your style and your new collection. Tfs❤

It’s a butter churn! I’m 80, when I was young and living on a small farm I milked the cows twice a day and my Mom made all our butter in a churn just like that.

The piece at the Antique Store is a Butter Churn we had one when I was a Child, my Mom & Dad use to take the top off of Cows milk and Churned out on butter! And $125 was a fair price if it was in good shape! I’ve seen them as high as $175 to $200 & higher! Love Claire’s Coos!❤❤👧🐶🐶🐱🐱 hey the tiny butter Mold is what they Carried door to door to sell the bigger ones! Easy to carry around!!

Love me some vintage glass butter churns. I have 2. I’m not sure why I haven’t noticed you don’t have any yet. That’s a good one to hunt down at a bargain. Just for reference….I purchased one at an antique mall for $70 and another from a lady I bought a corner hutch from off FMP. She had one she sold me “randomly” when I picked up my hutch for $20. I saw it on her floor in a little grouping with some old crocks so I asked if they were for sale. I got the churn and a whiskey crock for $40 total. I almost died!!! lol

Wish I could walk around that antique store, seen things I would love. Keep your eyes open you can find a butter churn for cheaper then 125.00. I have a bunch of them, used to make butter with them when I was a little girl.

The sunflower casserole you froze on is a piece by Federal glass. It should have a milk glass lid, not the lid on it. I also think you can hold out for one that not only has the correct lid but is less than $50. I have collected Federal, Pyrex and Fire King for years and in my opinion that piece was price way too high.

When we moved across country and downsized I decided that I was getting rid of the everday stuff and using only my favorite pieces, and I just love it. Whey I put my soup in a gorgeous bowl, or cook in my favorite pot it makes me so happy. I have a similar pyrex casserole and it was always my mashed potato bowl. That big jar with the paddle you looked at is a butter churn, they are usually pretty pricey although you might be able to find a smaller one for less money. I have one and I actually made butter in it. I love how much joy you find it looking for treasures, I thought I was the only one!! Glad you got the lamp, they add so much ambience to your room!

If you are actually going to bake with your pyrex, please be aware that the dishes are fairly fragile, when you bring them from the oven DO NOT just sit them on the stovetop! I had one a few years ago that I was making a casserole in and I pulled it from the oven, and I sat it on the stovetop and like 30 seconds later I was right by the casserole and the dish and lid EXPLODED! i had used it for a couple of decades and I was never told to sit it on a dish towel... so it could save you heartbreak in the future, so enjoy your pyrex, I love mine!
