Starr Scott i agree. i have a 4 piece pink depression glass set that looks identical. mine don't have tea handles so i use mine for wine :) that tea set she saw probably had a pretty price tag to go with it. they are worth at least $100+, especially for a full set.

LOVED the antique shop with me! It's so cool seeing all the vintage stuff and imagining the stories behind everything. If you were looking for more theres a great large antique shop in St.Jacobs (it's literally just called St. Jacobs Antique Market). Im not sure how far it is from you but its at 805 King St N, Waterloo, ON N2J 4G8 if you wanted to check it out. Its real big and theres some pics of it online if you were interested!

I love you! Love your style. I have been antiquing for years (I am 66) and my parents had a antique shop. When antiquing you must dicker the price, the dealers expect it and price items with that in mind. You would automatically get 10% off but as you get experience offering an even cheaper price you might succeed. At an antique mall they usually have to call the dealer of the booth to get permission for an offer for more than 10% off. Usually stuff under $10 is never discounted. Group items you love if in the same booth and you might get a good price if you say you are buying x# of items from their booth so what's best price? Always ask 'What is your best price" best phrase to start with. Happy hunting, you will get addicted to this! Love

I know this video is old but I just wanted to give you a tip for old rusty stuff. If you don’t want it falling apart inside your house just put a coat of sealer on it, a matte finish sealer would be ideal so that you don’t lose the antique vibe by making it shiny with a gloss finish

7:42 yes!! I love what you said there! I love shopping vintage, my entire home is decorated in vintage clutter and antiques. My problem is I don't know when to stop buying cuz I fall in love with so much. It's a running joke on my channel that somebody just needs to stop me from going into antique stores. My pockets would thank me. Love the pillows you found, I saw so many great things I would have loved to have, idk how you have so much self control. Oh my goodness I really enjoyed this! There is nothing better than wandering round an antiques shop and having a browse it’s always fun and you can find some lovely things and not everything is super expensive. I wish we had this sort of place in England though I’m sure my husband is thankful we don’t hehe xx

That antique store reminds me of places in Tennessee by the Tennessee river. We have a cabin in a very small town so we have to drive about half an hour to get to stores like that. My husband and I could spend an entire day thrifting in places like that. A lady had a great thrift store in our town but she had to close it. I think due to health issues. Unfortunately. Very nice lady. We used to have a booth in an antique mall but we moved away. It would be so fun to have a store. But I have psoriatic arthritis so no way I could handle working.I wish they had miracle medicine. they don’t. Not yet. But I can dream. Thank you for taking us along with you. Leslye

If You ever make it to Florida to warm up. And are in the Tampa Area. I have a metal milk crate similar to the one there only without rust. If and when at all possible.Try to Source some of your Antiques from the south. As . your in a lot of cases there isn't as much rust. My crate has zero rust. The crates too are made of galvanized. Which is tougher to rust. So that rusty gem must have been out side for many many years & winters up in the frozen tundra.

Im moving in the next 2 months and I'm starting to majority thrift at least once a week to try and find new furniture and I love it lol my husband and I like to upcycle furniture, so it's fun for the both of us!

I would probably die from amazement if I went to that antique store. The best ones to go to are in small towns...maybe ones with history that goes back to the 1700s, 1800s, or 1900s. Depending on what part of the United States you are from. Typically (where I'm from), most antique stores go as far back as the mid to late 1800s and up. Some are more modern and start at thr 40s and 50s.

Love everything you got! I wish that store was near me but I'm all the way in Texas... The cute little pillow with the yellow stripe is made from a European grain sack. Yellow is actually a pretty rare color! We sell the grain sacks at our store here in Texas.

There is an amazing antique mall in Edmonton that I love because it is so over-filled with kitsch, mid-century antique and general blend of antiquities that is completely insane. They have this record kiosk that is filled with obscure things like a 1980’s Lesbian Poetry record and one by a controversial German band that was pro-violence. Just so many odd records coupled with the classic ones. I got a The Cramps record and Red Blonde Head record - for example. I miss going there!

Girl. When booth renters have signs up like "50% off until --" but their sign is still up, always have the people at the front desk of the shop call them personally. They will most likely honor it since it is their own responsibility to take the sign down. No matter what the date they provided is, it still gets people's hopes up that the items are whatever % off, and probably prompted the sale in the first place.
