I realized I was breathing so shallow at the first shop. I want to live there. I want the lamp that was on the post. The angel statues were total museum!!!😃 Do you even know how much quiet joy you share? I really transport to the places you show us. My Aunt Louise had a sofa like that silk one. I found it too much as a child😊 I preferred my grandmas Autumn leaf print Davenport. I’ve always wanted an ornate screen ever since I saw an old movie that had a fancy woman change her clothes behind it. 😁♥️🐩

What an ingenious idea to use umbrella spines for a Christmas tree! I never would have thought of that - altho Max and Dave Fleischer did it in one of their Grampy cartoons, come to think of it. This was a great video, Scott. I was hooked from the intro and would have loved it if it HAD been an hour and a half!!

The Asian screen was a real show stopper! Maybe, that is one of those Antiques Roadshow pieces, $5,000-$8,000 unrestored and $18,000 restored. Blue Bus Dave worked with an Asian specialist at an auction house near him once. She seemed pretty knowledgeable. What a road trip that was. Thanks!

The Chinese screen is to die for, absolutely fabulous and actually really cheap, just go back and buy it Scott. I regularly sell mass produced 1960’s glass vases for $165, and you could certainly resell that screen for at least $1.600, well, not through an eBay auction. One can not let pieces like that pass you by. If I bought it I wouldn’t touch it, I’d keep it the way it is, dirty and all. That Anastasia shop is really fantastic.

I had an opportunity to buy that green sink at an antique shop here in Los Alamos (California, not New Mexico!). I think the price was over $200, and it didn't suit my style at the time, so had to leave it for someone else. Always did wonder if/when someone bought it!---Wow, that pink Christmas tree! I remember when that was a tony thing to have in someone's home!---I just read a list of disappointing tourist experiences, folks submitted locations around the globe. To my horror, someone submitted Philadelphia. For shame...if I had money to burn, I'd love to return.

Loved the tree, the shop was pretty dark...the furniture was fun to see, but the screen! Drooling. The repairs, (not that I know anything about repairing 1890's painted wood) looks doable. Wonder if it's gesso, maybe painted wood shapes. Maybe they don't even have to be replaced...just a good general cleaning, wish I could see a good picture of it.
