Those little character jugs are called Toby Mugs. They were worth good money 30 years ago, but even the Royal Doulton ones have lost most of their value.

Marietta Antiques sure has some really fair prices and a nice selection. I've never seen a glass fly trap before. We had a Venus fly trap the plant and that would go good together. I have a Groundhog burrowed in for the winter under my back steps. I hope it's a male and we're not to sure of each other so far.

hi rocks. that Rundle's liniment was hit with ultraviolet beams to turn it that color. It was originally aqua blue just a heads up.

Those are cool. I love the bottle. They had some awesome prices at the antique mall. Yeah it's too cold for Squirrel Man.

They did. Some of that furniture in the back was dirt cheap. A little restoration on some of those items...is a good profit

People have become ignorant of antiques in recent times. The masses will largely only buy new things, and usually the products that are promoted online, on social media etc. It's trends heavily influenced, and quality isn't a priority as goods are made to fail within X amount of years, so buyers will need to spend again and again for the same thing. That chair that has lasted 100 years, still functions well, and is a charming piece of furniture that has little to no value now.

Appreciate going shopping with you. It's nice when you read out the prices. Often, the lighting affects the price tag and you can't easily see it. On another note, I like the character and Toby mugs too. In the back shelf where you got those, there was a larger one . I believe it to be around 1910. Found in Miller's book . I have a similar Toby Jug, from about 1865 or so. Porcelain. 👍

Yea.....I think those are nice. I found one that is small in the dump that looks like these....but marked Japan. These Mugs I got with the English Hallmarks on the bottom are better quality. I am going to be looking for these when i am in the stores now. I think I need about 100 of them

The furniture and some of the other stuff is very reasonable. The old Singer paddle sewing machine is very reasonable. I have not seen any of singer sewing machines here in North Carolina lower than $125.00

Very cool. I have one other one in a cabinet that is real nice condition. But no label. That was a good deal for that price. There was some storewide sale for the Hoildays so the stuff was even cheaper than marked. Some of that furniture was great.

Can anyone tell me how to spell Boaz for Boas Antique Mall? We want to visit but can’t find it and not sure how to spell it. I looked around Parkersburg on Google Maps and found nothing with that name.
