Antique Trolley: History of the Phoenix Trolley Car System Downtown Phoenix Museum on First Friday

Before the Valley Metro Rail there was the Phoenix Trolley Street Car! I met with Lanny at the Phoenix Trolley Museum on Grand Avenue in downtown Phoenix Arizona on a First Friday. Turns out the old antique trolley cars were used for more than just transportation. Lanny explains how the Phoenix trolley transportation system started and the unfortunate circumstances of how it ended. See the original routes through Phoenix in the 1920's and how the trolley linked to the city of Glendale, Arizona. Also, see vintage and antique items from the old trolley cars.
